Before I comment, I just want to advise anyone who may be seriously considering starting their rehabilitation, and is reading the comments here to get a picture of what staff might be like, you need to disregard comments 3+ years old where people complain about the doctor. That doctor is long gone. The one that remains, I believe, is the best doctor AND person in the world to help you with your matter. I continue to remain in awe of his commitment to his profession and patients. My opinion of the other staff member working at this clinic is exactly the same. They are both deeply caring, understanding and respectable professionals!

The staff here are kind and will treat you with dignity which is a rare find. I am so grateful to have found this service.

Update: after a year at this clinic now I can safely say they saved my life, every interaction is professional and kind. I owe Dr Paul and Matt my life and I'll be forever grateful for the work they do.

If you feel trapped and out of options you can get help here, it really works, and you won't be treated like a scumbag in the process. Just follow their basic rules and be polite and you'll have a brighter future ahead of you.

Best clinic available. Been going here for yrs now & totally recommend the drs. My original Dr has just retired but seeing new Dr for me Dr Hunt tomoro & apparently a new Dr available after my original Dr Paul retired. Matt behind counter is great to & extremely helpful! I'm going to miss Dr Paul, as he's been a great Dr!

Only one Dr. Hunt there he always has a smile. He's completely professional and not to intrusive. I've seen him for 24 years now I like him so much. On the serious side he is allowed to prescribe methadone and subutex to people without judgement. He does this to help you with your situation and treats everyone like a human being. He dresses and talks casual. He's the best!

Only doctor I have ever been able to be honest with for he is the only doctor I've ever felt really non judgmental and really easy to talk to it's a no wonder if your not already seeing him you would have dramas getting an appointment .

I can't Stress this enough, this place is awesome, I followed my doctor from his previous practice at Holland park to this current one at Stones corner. I struggled for years before I met my current doctor. He is very understanding and will always try and help those who are working hard to fix their addiction issues as well as those genuinely trying to live a better life. From what I understand, doctors that had worked here in the past were not always the best but now it's a great place. It's a judgement free environment. The staff are awesome. Just be respectful and you'll never have an issue. These guys have helped so many people out of bad and terrible times, it's amazing and awesome what they have done and what they continue to do.

Dr hunt is a Great doctor who helps with all sorts of addictions. He works 3days a week. Also Sunday once a month, call and talk to the receptionist to find out more.
He understands alot more than other doctors do on this subject, and will help you work a plan out for you to stop your addiction and gives you an alternative medication that will make you feel normal and it's up to the plan you work out with the doctor personally to find what you need and for how long. No time set on how long this may take. Months or years it's up to you and how you feel. Talk with the doctor personally and I'm sure you will understand what I mean by set to your condition. Good luck, be honest, that way you will get what you need. Honesty is the best policy.

Since I come to Paul, still just been able to tread water until I meet all the team at Progressive Health. I didn’t know what to expect and how I was going to cope without pain medication but enters DR Paul McGeown. I was sent to him from a hospital in a really messy head space, and after coming up to nearly 4 years with Dr McGeown. HE SAVED my life…. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him. Paul gives his whole self during an appointment, i feel safe and I also NEVER feel judged by him or his staff. Best practice in Brisbane. We are all about help each other through the good, bad and ugly and hopefully we can come out sober at the end.
Again I can’t stress enough how much Paul and Matt do for me at this clinic. Life savers ❤️
