We rode the new tygart flyer and had a blast! It was an awesome trip with great views. We loved every minute of it, especially getting to walk down and see the falls. Would love to ride again! All the employees were nice and helpful. Highly recommend riding

Nice day trip. Plenty of parking. Nice gift shop with plenty of area pamphlets to take for free. Lots of benches to sit on while waiting to board. Friendly staff at the two ticket counters and boarding crew. We opted for the the parlor car upgrade +$15/ticket. You get a basic buffet lunch, a glass of wine, and regular drinks. Victoria was very friendly and ran her tush off waiting on people in our car. The train ride was very nice and relaxing but the intercom was broken so there was no guided tour info . Some views. Just a nice relaxing train ride.

1) Very enjoyable trip with beautiful scenery in our 4.5 hr round trip from Elkins, WV. Railroad staff members were very helpful, knowledgeable. Well worth our time. Train ends at High Falls before making return trip to Elkins,Wv.
2) Learned about historical facts about locomotives and carriages. Mary had excellent announcements.

3) Holiday Inn Express is a very short distance, walkable.
Highly recommend this beautiful sightseeing trip. Worth your time.

Amazing trip, friendly employees, and freedoms to move around the train as much as we wanted. It was a breathtaking trip with scenery, a peaceful river, and we saw the bald eagle too! Loved every bit of it!

We rode on the cass scenic railroad tour and loved it! It was 4.5 hours long but such an enjoyable and relaxing time. We were provided a bag lunch (sandwich, chips, pasta salad, cookies and bottle water) for the trip. It was a nice ride through the country to take us to the top of Bald Knob. The scenery was spectacular! The staff was amazing and answered questions anyone had. The only negative I would have is that we sat in car B and due to the use of coal we would get ash that dropped down and would get on your clothes and person, although nothing terrible that some soap couldn't take care of. Highly recommend!

We rode the New Tygart Flyer and upgraded to the parlor car, which I recommend. The car was in great shape and we were seated at a table for 2. Victoria was our hostess and she was very attentive. The ride was scenic and the make-your-own sandwich buffet was nice and complete with pie for dessert. A glass of wine was also included. Some rhododendrons were still in bloom which added some color. A trip during the Fall would be nice also.

We really enjoyed the Whittaker train ride at Cass, WV. The scenery is beautiful in the fall. Would definitely come back to try a different train route. Also, enjoyed the gift shop, Last Run Restaurant and artisanal gallery.

We really enjoyed our scenic ride from Elkins to the High Falls! The views were beautiful, the staff was friendly and kind, and the cold cut lunch was nice too! I highly recommend this ride. I would love to do this again earlier in the fall so we don’t miss the foliage.
