Gorgeous towering waterfall and the bottom of a flight of stone steps along the river accompanied by Albert and Kennedy falls, though I couldn't figure out how to get down to Kennedy without winging it through the thicket down the hillside. There is a stretch I got to just before Kennedy that was worth taking a shot of. Absolutely beautiful country and gorgeous river with waterfalls, I came down from my stay in Deep Creek to check out

It's very beautiful and feary tail like. The surrounding forest was whimsical. Only thing, due to my disability/handicap I couldn't go visit/see the falls. The rugged path wouldn't allow me. Other that that, I LOVE THE AREA!!

The road to this waterfall is gravel and very narrow. Basically one car. We were told the water appears turquoise and the rocks are orange. The water was definitely not turquoise (maybe that was due to the recent rainfalls) but the rocks are very cool to look at.

Douglas falls was ok..the road was not that great and they have a narrow bridge...I went to Black waterfalls before this on same day and i liked that more. It's good but not great when it comes to ease of going in and the views and what not..

Such a great waterfall. One of three. The last one is the big one and a must see. Two others as you approach the end: first is beautiful, second in parking area is a little cascade.

Small rock scramble on slippery rocks but otherwise pretty easy to get to. The road leading in is rough with a creek running through it. I would recommend a high clearance vehicle.

A lot of people don’t know about Douglas Falls, which is located on the Black River Canyon Trail at Blackwater Falls State Park. The good news is you can drive and park fairly close to the falls. The bad news…it is a challenging trek over the hill to get to the base of the river to really see this fall. There are three falls on this trail: Albert, Douglas, and Kennedy. Douglas is the middle falls. Park at Douglas Falls and walk the trail to Albert and Kennedy. Of the three falls on the trail, Kennedy Falls is the more difficult one to reach.

This was a pleasant surprise. So much history in the area and to top it off with this roaring falls was awesome! Be sure to grab one of the little guide papers on your way in so you can see all the other historic sights in the area.
The falls was much larger the expected. Easy access. Be sure to park at the large parking area instead of driving past. There is a gate and you'd have to turn around anyway.
