Best tacos I've had anywhere! I have to eat at Picnic whenever I'm in the area. Make sure to get the plantains if you go. They have a sweetish glaze that I literally dream about. The people working are really friendly too. My only suggestion to them would be to make the rice a little more flavorful but even still the rice doesn't detract from how amazing the food is.

First time staying out in West Virginia and man it was a challenge to find food but this place is by far the number 1 spot to eat in the area. It isn’t much of a sit down place but I was totally cool with that ! There chicken tacos are absolutely to die for. When I come back I will prob eat here almost every day. Awesome job Picnic !!!!

This place is one of those hidden gems found few times in life. Nestled in the back corner of a white painted building (behind a bookstore) at the end of the main drag while going south on 48 through Thomas. (Across from the Post Office) Blink, and you'll miss it.

It's a walk up window to order, or call ahead for pick up. Outside tables and chairs in the adjacent yard, with a small area under a shade tree for reprieve on a hot day. This isn't a taco franchise, this is gourmet food on the roadside. The cost is a little higher, but I take quality over garbage quantity any day!

The food is simply amazing. My wife, from a central american country, came to the US several years ago. She has been all over the US, always looking for food to remind her of home. She says these are the BEST TACOS SHE'S EVER HAD in the U.S. Honestly, I think they may be the best tacos I've ever had too. The menu is large enough to satisfy most, not to big to be overwhelmed. Been here 3 times in the past 2 months, and every time the food is consistently fresh and flavorful. I prefer the chicken tacos, my wife prefers the carnitas. The quesadilla is pure ooey gooey cheesy goodness.

The staff are super friendly, and it's always a relaxed atmosphere. Simply, love it.

First time in Thomas opened up with super beef and chorizo tacos on corn tortillas with cilantro, queso fresco, Monterey jack, and lime ate al fresco amongst the edible landscaping and pollinating flowers.
Perfect.

In my younger days when we visited and traversed the Mountain State we just hoped to find a custard stand that stayed open late and served some sort of food. Now you stumble across a place like this. Amazing. The food was knock your socks off good and the place is so unique.
Honey Chipotle Chicken Tacos and
Chicken Quesadilla were had and enjoyed.

Who knew you could get amazing tacos in West Virginia? Walking into Picnic Taco, the smell is just amazing. Bowls and tacos were so tasty! And the beans and rice were excellent too.

These are the most delicious tacos and my first plantains! I loved them! My favorite is the ground beef tacos! Highly recommend.

My son and I ate here after going to Blackwater Falls. I saw this town on a Tik Tok and had to stop. It was the cutest little town ever! I was actually way more impressed by these tacos than the falls. The best tacos I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot of tacos! The restaurant is in a cute old house. You order at the counter and there are a few tables. Nothing fancy but everything is in that paper box that you need! Two months later that I’m writing this review and these tacos stay on my mind. And the plantains! So good.
