Marquee Cinemas - Summersville, WV

It advertised 'luxurious seating'. The seats smell, do not recline, are cloth and don't even have cupholders. There's hardly enough room to even cross your legs. This place needs a complete renovation. We visited last week and ordered popcorn. Waited 5 minutes for someone to put down a broom. They came over behind the counter, propped the broom up and took our order and served us food without even washing their hands. There were 9 people in our movie theater on a Saturday night. When the movie started, we sat with the lights on for 10 minutes. I got up and went to the counter to let them know to turn the lights off. Whoops. Seriously?

One of my least favorite theatres I’ve ever been too, I’m honestly surprised it’s still in business.

The only pro is that the staff was kind. The chairs are really old, there are no cup holders.. and they’re really smushed up against each other. Very little leg room.

Prices are exorbitant for the experience, tickets cost more than some nicer theatres... The lights dim really late and it isn’t “dark.” They’re too bright for me.

Also it’s the ONLY theatre I’ve ever been in where I was warm. Seriously it was kinda uncomfortable how warm the temp was.

The last two times I went the lights didn't go out during the movie. They dim, but it was still too bright. Ruined both movies. The first time it happened the movie was halfway over before they kicked on. The entire second movie they were left on, even after i mentioned it. I don't understand how the worst movie theater I've been to has 4 stars. No cup holders, seats were damp. It was so bad that I felt compelled to warn others. ⚠️ I think this is the first review I've ever written, and I don't complain normally. I'm not a karen.

Good for seeing the movie, but doesn't have any of modern comforts, staff was really nice

I know they were redoing the inside before covid. Was told they were going to do the theater seating still patiently waiting.

Great place during the winter. Small movie theater.

Went today for the first time in quite a while, the lobby was filthy, they had no ice, so the pop was warm & nasty; the sprite I got tasted moldy, like it has every other time I've been there; I don't think the machines are ever cleaned!!
The movie theater itself was filthy and smelled like urine, I could barely stand to stay for the movie, I paid $19.00 dollars for online tickets for 2!!! Not sure I will ever go again!
