A charming slice of Americana. There is an audio tour of local pieces of African-American history that is interesting, though there are also plaques around town telling local history. Several of the historic buildings have been lovingly restored. A great area for lovers of unique architecture.

Historical Town... Beautiful Lake Bluestone..Big 4 Drug Store......The Market....Ritz Theatre... Bluestone Dam....MY HOMETOWN 😍❤️

We stayed in Hinton but outside of town, we walked the historic district which had some interesting places to look at, and found something I haven't seen in years...a pay phone! Whether it worked or not I don't know but it looked like it did.

Lucky Rivers. New Cafe in town. Delicious food. Excellent service..Great relaxing atmosphere!Very clean.
