Better and faster than expected. Covid 19 restrictions are in place and you have to wait outside until called. Once inside, the process goes quickly. The staff is friendlier than other locations I have had to go through in the past.

They were so nice and helpful. Very easy to work with. Getting new drivers license was simple and easy, in a timely manner. No long wait time. They are verry good at their job, and very professional.

Best DMV I've ever been to. The ladies Annette and Beth that worked with me were really nice and got me in and out quick. Definitely would drive an hour away from home to go there again.

Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable! A rare combination at the DMV. When the state computers went down, the CS rep was patient, explained the situation and proceeded to complete the transactions she could while waiting for computers to return. An actual pleasant experience at the DMV!

The Flatwoods DMV folks are the best: Very friendly, very helpful, highly professional, efficient and expeditious, and great ambassadors for DMV and the State. We were in and out quickly despite the website saying they were as busy as ever. These folks are pokar opposites of the Charleston DMV office in every respect. I will drive to Flatwoods from Charleston, get my DMV business done, and drive back to Charleston in the future ... and still get back before I'd be seen in Charleston (with less stress and receiving greater respect from personable folks who want to help and like their job).

If you’re looking for a place to take driving test, this is the good option in West Virginia. Though they don’t have online appointments and do walk-ins, they’re fast and very nice. Not so much traffic too if you’re worried about that! The instructor were very nice and will give you more confidence in driving. Goodluck!

I can't believe I'm reviewing A DMV, but it's important! I go out of my way to come to this one because the folks here are friendly and helpful. I was a mess with paperwork coming in here and they patiently helped me get everything in order, and even educated me about property taxes. (I had apparently not paid the taxes on my vehicle since 2016... They patiently waited as I called my assessor's office and got them paid.)

I literally had fun at the DMV. That's saying something.

Took my drivers test and the woman was excellent at her job. She was friendly and understood I was nervous. Very patient and was in and out in no time.
