Wow. What a great trail for biking, hiking or running. The surface is flat and mostly smooth. It is well maintained and there is bathroom facilities and water pumps along the way. We bikes 20 miles our first time there. We can’t wait to return and try 49 miles. Thank you West Virginia for such a wonderful place to be outside enjoying the clean fresh air.

It was kind of confusing for us "out of towner's" not really knowing where to go & gps isn't the best out there in the mountains but hubby and I made do with where gps took us & I still got some great photos and hubby was able to toss his line in for a few. Definitely will bring our bikes next time, not a good idea to walk with fishing stuff from where we parked.

I have been on this trail and it is absolutely gorgeous! The river is emerald green, the trail is easy to walk, hike, or bike on. There are numerous places to stop and fish on the river. The mountains are spectacular. I highly recommend this trail to anyone who enjoys beautiful natural scenery and easy trails. Perfect for the family to get out and get fresh air and exercise.

We had a fun day strolling along the trail. The trail was wide and so nicely shaded by the coverage. You still get a good sweat on just biking but at least you're not in the straight sun very often. There were potty shacks along the trail. We packed lunch for a picnic once we got back to the car (because we were pulling a little one and that would have been extra weight lol). There were a few little tables at the start of the trail that we sat at to eat. We had a really enjoyable day but didn't make it too far... That was okay with us.

We had a beautiful hike starting in Anthony. It is absolutely beautiful from the sounds of the water to climbing over the rocks in the river to seeing the beautiful shrubs in bloom . Easy trail but can do stretches to give a good workout or do it slow and easy for families. Will come back....again and again.

Biked from Renick through the Droop Mountain Tunnel and back. 16 mile bike ride. Beautiful river and shaded cinder track. Saturday afternoon ride and we crossed paths with about 8 other bikers. Pretty much have the trail to ourselves. Great place to float in the river or fish. Lots of locals having fun. Took us 3 hours.

This is a wonderful rail trail! There are parts that are so secluded and just absolutely stunning. My husband and I were lucky enough to go while the wildflowers were in peak bloom. The trail is very well maintained. Even though it was a nice labor day weekend there were very few other people on the trail.

Wonderful bike trail that is an old rail line along the Greenbrier river. I only wish we had more time to go further long the trail. We will definitely come back to ride it again.
