My husband and I just moved to the area and thought we would give Dr Peters a try due to positive reviews. Our very first visit with our new puppy was awesome, we got all his first shots etc and my husband really liked the Doctor.

Then, our dog had to have a simple surgery and the whole process was terrible. Poor communication from the staff prior to the surgery..Doctor late to appointments, staff rude. The day of the surgery they said they would call with an update, which is standard procedure from my experience with other vets. I had to call at the end of the day to find out info.

We had a medication issue to which the staff told me to WAIT BY THE PHONE and never called back that night.

After the surgery I came to have stitches removed and had to come back again because I came home and discovered the tech left in some of the stitches. TERRIBLE. We are finding a new vet.

I've taken my little puppy to him since I brought him home at 7 weeks. This is the best vet ever- he spends time talking to you to give you advice, understand, etc.. and he really cares about these animals. Plus the staff is awesome which is always a huge plus and they totally work with you on determining what's most important when the bills stack up due to their rounds of vaccinations those first few months. All around, they're great! Highly recommend Dr. Peter and his staff!!

Please be aware of this place!!! I do not recommend this doctor at all! The experience that we went through with my pet dog was a complete horror...Dr Peter’s petside manners are terrible...he comes out to be very sarcastic and very arrogant making the owner feel that we are always doing the worst for our pet. He became irritated when I told him that I had seen other doctors as well. He felt that I should’ve only gone to him these past few years. He stated that he charges $49 for an office visit, but by the time I got the final bill, with all of the added items, I was going to pay almost $300 for that visit. When I stated that I only wanted a few of those items on the list and not all because it was too expensive, one of his assistants came in saying that the doctor would not treat my dog at all unless I did everything that he suggested on the list. When I questioned if this means that my dog was not going to be treated for an eye infection and an ear Infection, which is what I came in for, the assistant said yes the doctor will not treat your dog, he will not do anything unless you do everything that he is suggesting. So when I questioned, does that mean you are telling me to leave without my dog being treated, her answer was yes, your dog will not be treated. Then she went on to say we won’t charge you at all for today’s visit. The other assistant that was there tried to be very nice but the older assistant was totally over powering and then asked the younger assistant to leave the room. When they both left, I called out hello hello and no one answered, so I quckly left that office as quickly as I could... that place gave me the greeps!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO... Dr Peter on Royal Palm Blvd. between Riverside and Rock Island in Margate!

From this loving pet owner to other loving pet owners looking for a loving Vet Dr and office to go to, Dr Pete is spot on. My mom has been taking her pets to Dr Pete for approx 30 years and to say she is protective of her animals, would be an understatement. Dr Pete is highly knowledgeable and caring and that holds true for his staff as well. Only the best for my little Monkey.

I just thought I would clear some things up about the review below me First off his name is Dante not Dominic. Second of all I was there being rung out by Dante when he called the below people three times to inform them what time the Animal Hospital close and to be there at the correct time to pick up there dog I returned 3 hous later to pick up my dog from getting treatment right when I was leaving the people showed up to pick up their dog LATE. No offense lady but if you show up late to An establishment AFTER HOURS there's a good chance that you're not going to get taken care of. Chances are if you showed up on time you would've been able to speak to the manager and Dr. choices and consequences.

I been a client of Dr Peters Animal Hospital since 2009 and always have a great experience with Dr Peter Krolikowski I have really high standards for him as a doctor. Since a year ago I noticed a change in the way the clinic operates. I brought one of my Golden Retreivers back on June 27 for his annual and heart worm test, I mention to the doctor that I still have left the Hartford pills for my other Golden and anyway they were out of stock and he said not to be worried that I can order at a later time in their online store. On October 13th I went to the online store to order the Heartgard and after calling several times to the doctors office to see the status of the prescription without any answers finally I received an email from the online store inform me that the prescription was denied by the doctors office (Erin) due that my dog was needing a snap test (only was 4 months after his last doctor visit and never stop giving him the heartgard) I call the doctors office asking why was denied and I can heard Erin screaming on the back very unprofessional telling the receptionist the reason that the prescription was denied. After 10 years bringing my dogs to the clinic I never heard such of thing and never has any problem requesting the prescription for my dogs. I request to the Doctor call me and till know I never received any phone call. At the end I found out a vet close to my house and bring him my dog last annual papers and without any problem they game me his Heartgard. I'm really very disappointment with they lack of compassion and touch of professionalism that the staff have. That will be the end of my relation with this clinic.

I had to see dr Peter when my dog lost her vision, I called him at 3am and luckily I lived near him. He had me bring my dog to his house where he treated her, took. Her blood and examined her. The next day he ran her blood and had me bring my dog in. He was such a caring dr. I didn’t a lot of money and he did x-rays for free. He just wanted to treat my baby. His office staff were so kind and caring. I trusted him and that’s a big thing for me. He’s a great caring dr. That loves his work. ❤️❤️ Thanks dr Peter.

My sole reason for leaving this vet office is the receptionist they have answering the phone. EXTREMELY RUDE AND unprofessional. She is lacking logistical skills needed to even do the job. Asking me repeatedly for information that she has clearly in front of her. Asking me for dates of my last visit. I told her the last vet I visited was dr.peters.. she continues to ask me for details of the visit. I respond..I don't remember the details such as dates..then she reads to me the dates..so then why are you wasting my time asking me? You have all my information in front of you. Without any proof or record..or any issue from bringing my dog here for years in person, she tells me I have to sedate my dog because he is a problem dog. I never once received a complaint about my dog, and I am always waiting with him in person. Nor is this the way you demand me to medicate my dog. They have lost a life long customer because of this receptionist and I will never recommend this place to anyone I know, and further will warn people NOT to go here at any opportunity I can. They sent me back my dogs information. no record of him acting problematic. She seemed unsure if she could even book an appointment when answering the phone. again..I am disgusted by the way she acted on the phone, and it is solely because of her rude behavior that I am making this 1 star review. open your doors to the public so you can provide proper customer service or don't open at all!. your receptionist is horrible and should probably find another job, in which she can receive information, and talk to customers in. a calm respectful manner.

P.S. ..I also have read some of the responses to the low reviews..and that attitude is exactly why this hospital has another 1 star review .. a response scolding/criticizing/ mocking a customer..."clearly you don't know how to use the internet" wow... how unprofessional..they sure knew how to give you that 1 star review tho..... " it is in the hospitals best interest to check the records and take the time to do it. rectifying complaints or mistakes...you know customer service! .posting that you took the time to try and verify if a complaint is valid or not" is pathetic..its your JOB, and because you didn't do your job well.you have to do more work.. this is exactly why Im happy to give this 1 star and leave.
