Took the Sunday morning cruise to see Cumberland Island and the surrounding sites. Amelia River Cruises does a great job all the way around. From ease of making reservations on line, to parking, to getting your tickets at the dock, to the clean rest room on board, all topped off with great site seeing and excellent narration during the cruise. Both funny and informative. Will definitely take this tour again and highly recommend!!

Fun boat ride around the Cumberland Island area. The captain and tour guide were campy, informative and fun entertainment. We take this tour every time we visit this area. It is good fun for the entire family!

Memorable trip to get mesmerized on a sunset river tour! It was a Father’s Day and we took this tour to celebrate. Captain Benny outlined all the history and pointed out the significance of the place. We saw Dolphins family, Fort Clinch State Park and other few. He was very humorous which brought in more flavor. We went with our Golden Retriever as well which enjoyed the cruise. We also took many pictures capturing the sunset.. Must to see..

Great Historical Tour!
James, the captain, provided some excellent stories about the entire history of the area; Amelia Island, Fernandina Beach, Cumberland Island, etc. He and/or his wife are related to so many local historical figures and he told great stories about the history. We saw many great sites including dolphins and the wild horses of Cumberland Island. The ride was very enjoyable and the boat (ship) provided both a sunny area and a large area under a roof. A great experience. Quick addition: my wife says she thinks I got his name wrong. I apologize.

We went on the sunset cruise the first night in Fernandina. Probably the best experience during the whole trip. Perfect for a romantic night, or calm experience for the kids. Unfortunately, we didn’t see wild horses due to someone illegally docked on Cumberland. The captain steered into the river around the island, and we saw wild flamingos, dolphins, and two alligators.

This charter is definitely another one of my favorites every time I visit. Family friendly. Full of information and history about the island. Not to mention gorgeous views. They have bathrooms on board, just incase!

Capt Kurt and First Mate Bob gave a fabulous historical cruise experience covering Amelia and Cumberland Island history and several of the nearby islands. It was jam packed with information and entertaining at times. We highly recommend Amelia River Cruises. We saw many horses on Cumberland Island, the ice house at the Carnegie's and part of the Greyfield Inn. We also saw a few dolphin, 3 wild turkeys, several osprey and at least 8 tarpons jump from the water while feeding. Well worth the cost and a completely enjoyable experience.
