OMG so after seeing a couple other reviews, I don't feel as bad about falling asleep during the film portion of this attraction! But it was essentially okay to nap here and in air conditioning to boot. Hey, don't knock it! When you're hustling 12 miles a day on 6 hours of sleep, you'll take any reprieve you can get! There's an antechamber playing a film before you step into the theater. Once the attraction is ready, you move to the aisle seats.

At this attraction, it's very much an educational piece talking about the planets resources with Ellen Degeneres hating on an old college classmate (happens to be an energy expert) whom is on said episode of jeopardy, but then falls asleep and we're taken into a dream sequence with her on Jeopardy with Alex Trebec, and special appearance by Bill Nye to teach Ellen about the nature of energy and how energy sources like fossil fuels were made.

Then the ride begins, with the aisle sections moving through animatronic scenery of prehistoric Earth. The scenes and animatronics are a little dated, but still pretty cool to see. You are off on an adventure with Ellen and Bill into this land. After the rides over, Ellen goes back to Jeopardy and crushes her former class mate.

Interesting, and actually a good activity to teach children. Worth stopping here to at least, if nothing else, stop to relax and cool down.

A great pavilion with only one attraction and nothing else. The pavilion is beautifully designed with wonderful fountains. It's old though, in need of an update or expansion. Ellen's Energy Adventure is housed here too, a must ride!

This ride is highly underrated. One of the funniest rides I have ever been on. Its a great ride to get out of the sun on a hot day

Ride is dated, but it is air conditioned, dark & my husband loves to take a nap on this ride.

Perhaps well-loved for nostalgic reasons, this attraction is really dated and unusually long for a Disney ride/experience. More often than not this is a good attraction to rest on after a day of walking, but it drags on enough that I've fallen asleep on it before. Skip it if you don't have a healthy love of Ellen DeGeneres, Bill Nye, and Jeopardy. (There's also never a line or full capacity)

Yeah, I can see why this ride is one of the least popular ones. It's clearly outdated both in content and ride tech. I've been to Epcot about 20 times and finally rode it with my son. It does really last 45 minutes, so on a hot day, if you've ridden everything else, go for it. Maybe do it with one parent and one kid who is into energy and dinosaurs and stuff like that as a special thing like I did. My son has mentioned the ride several times and I think he sees it as special only because he got to do it with me and not his sister (who was riding Soaring with the rest of the family).

If you need a break from the heat or to get off your legs, this is a great ride. Ellen is funny but the best part of the ride is that it is long and dark. It is a great place to recharge and you might learn something too

Cool ride. Been here a very long time. Isn't quite as long as they say it is, but still a very long ride. 30+ minutes. Plan your bathroom trip accordingly.
