We toured on a Thursday morning at 10AM. The tour was not too crowed and there was plenty of room on the boat. I like that you were allowed to get up and move around the boat down the canal to take photos and get a better look around. Lots of wildlife to see. The canal is like being down in the Amazon rainforest - it’s really something else. We saw a couple gators - one very large one! Our tour guide Robin and Captain Ted were funny and informative. High recommendation.

Easy to find dock, great check-in staff, knowledgeable guides, and of course beautiful surroundings (saw lots of birds, a few baby gators, and even a manatee surface very briefly).

We booked the night before for 4 adults and a child on the 2- hour canal tour. One of our party woke up with back issues and was unable to join. The check-in staff refunded us the unused ticket which I didn't even ask them to do nor expected. Everyone was pleasant and professional.

Our 3 year old is often nervous about new experiences, but felt totally at ease for her first time ever being on a boat. We didn't think about bringing snacks/drinks, but others on our boat did BYO coolers with refreshments and snacks. Hailing from NY, not sure when we will be back in the area, but we won't hesitate to book with Rusty Anchor again.

First time boat ride in Florida we had a great time I highly recommend this place we did a two hour tour around 11am. I was worried the kids will get bored but they really loved it the person keep us all entertaining talking and giving information about the area. We was able to bring cooler with drink and food such a perfect day. It wasn't crowded at all will be back again for the night tour.

We had made a couple trips to the Mt. Dora area over the last few years and really have enjoyed it every time. On this visit we decided to take a boat ride. I found the Rusty Anchor by search, and extremely happy that I did. It just so happened that we were the only ones on the boat. The Admiral and his staff treated us with excellent service and care. I would highly recommend them as your boat tour service in the area. Thanks for a great time on our 29th wedding anniversary J & P

Beautiful river boat tour. The guide was very knowledgeable & shared the history of Mt. Dora. This was a 2 hr ride through the Mt. Dora river & canal; priced at $35 /person Scenic wildlife panoramic views & great company. We saw many native birds, plants & alligators. A fun afternoon trip !

It was a pleasant boat tour. There were times of long bouts of silence from the tour guide, which made it kind of awkward, and a little boring. We were able to see and learn about quite a bit of wildlife. The scenery was beautiful. The boat captain was really fun and hilarious!

Really enjoyed the one hour lake tour. Captain Ted was very knowledgeable and skillfully gave us a smooth ride. Got to see an eagle and other wildlife along with beautiful homes. All our questions were answered and he gave us some ideas for enjoying our stay. Jennifer was great in handling our reservation. Highly recommend these folks.
