Stave Church

A very well done replica of a traditional Norwegian Stave Kirk. Unfortunately the crosses appear to have been remove from all of the points where they are traditionally displayed on the exterior. Why? Further, it has been converted into a shrine to the Viking pantheon, with no mention whatsoever to the Christianity for which the Stave Kirks were built! Nevertheless, I give it 4 stars for the mostly faithful and beautiful presentation.

Faithful replica of Norwegian stave church containing an exhibit of traditional clothing and items that inspired Disney's Frozen movie. See comparisons between authentic Norwegian items and what appeared in the movie. Scale models in display cases and mannequins wearing the clothing behind glass. Nice, quiet, and not too crowded. Recommended for those interested in Scandinavian history, woodworking, the movie Frozen, or movie-making.

A wonderful piece of Norse culture with actual relics inside. Love the architecture, artifacts and the feeling of history. Carvings over the door are incredible!

Beautifully carved statues inside of Freya, Odin, Thor, and Loki. A nice little place to walk in and take a breather from all the noise and relax for a moment and learn.

Great small room that shows some Viking history!

Very cool little (one room) museum with some ordinal Norse artifacts. Nice way to learn about Odin, Thor, Loki, and Freya. Worth a look.
