A nice place to visit in order to understand a little of Amelia Island history. Not real big, but a good use of space. Different aspects of history separated into rooms. They kept some of the former prison-use aspects when renovating. I would have liked to see more of this internally, though.
Kid friendly. The children can collect seal imprints as they go through the museum and get a "treasure" when they finish.

Great customer service!! The ladies in the beginning were so friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the self guided tour and were able to take as long as we wanted through the place. Loved the nest little stamp hunt throughout. Highly recommend.

Cute museum but not worth the price. $10 per adult is a bit steep. The staff was very friendly. It does give a brief overview of the island.

We booked tickets for the museum tour online and started our morning at the museum before our boat tour. It was the perfect start to a day with family. Our guide was very informative about Amelia Island history and the museum had a lot of neat things for our girls to learn about.

What a gem in Fernandina Beach! The Amelia Island History Museum was kid friendly and educational. We learned a lot and interestingly the museum is housed in the old Nassau County Jail. The staff/volunteers were wonderful and were so sweet when interacting with our children. They even had a treasure chest for the kids to pick out a prize after their scavenger hunt was finished throughout the museum. We look forward to our next visit.

Cute quick history of the town. Good visual interactions. They have a replica mail since it was the old jail house with many old notes and insights into how it was like to live in that town in historical times. They have a scavenger hunt to keep the littles interested. I enjoyed the physical interactive concepts to help engage and remember the historical lessons being told. The staff are friendly and cheerful.

Neat little museum. We were fortunate to catch a guided tour where the docent spent over an hour explaining the key history of the town. Made it well worth it.
