Not much to do, but park is in a nice open area with a grand entrance. There are a few benches inside that are paired up in individual seating areas. The park is waterfront so it has a nice and relaxing overlook of the water. Extra points because there are additional park areas across the street.

Meh. No fort. One placard to explain a little history. There are a few stones that look like they could be ruins of the fort, but there is no signage of such. Small playground. Reasonably maintained. View of the river. Otherwise not much to see.

It's a small little open area on the southern side of the Suwannee River. It has a lot of history dating back to 1838. It served as an Outpost where all sorts of merchandise was brought into and shipped out of the area. Over the years they have "improved" the fort so much is that all remained are the ruins from a small building in in the northern most corner. It is now fenced in with a black coated (to blend in to the scenery) chain link fence. There are several, mostly shaded, seating areas that offer a nice respite or just a quiet place to watch the area boaters traverse the river. Nice concrete sidewalks for easy walking along with a paved parking area. The fort offers a large open grassy area to play with your canine family members. Is a nice backdrop for a wedding ceremony. They have also installed a porta potty if nature does call. Other than a very short walk along the river there isn't really much else to do. Does make for a nice quick stop if you are traveling in the area for a quick break .

This is not a Fort. There is nothing here except some benches and a nicely paved trail. It was a total let down.

Don't know if I have a relationship to original descendants, but it's a unique little place. A quick stop off the 98/19 Northern Florida.
