Pioneer Museum

Had a great time. Very informative, staff was so incredibly knowledgeable and willing to go beyond to tell you about the pieces in the museum. Items well taken care of.

Staff easy to work with. Many possibilities for events.

My original post was from 2 years ago. It was a 5 star. Although I do think the location in back of the museum has many great potentials for events, it saddens me to see it is not properly being cleaned or maintained. Floors were disgustingly dirty. The bathrooms did not have napkins and the stool doors were practically falling off. The dust was thick and was falling down from the ceiling. There were nails, staples, clips, and all kinds of other adhering objects on the wall. For a location with rich history, they need to do a better job at preserving this treasure.

Really neat Museum lots of artifacts and friendly staff. Great place to visit for a family learning day. Plus admission is free. Thank you Teri for sharing your knowledge and historic facts with us.

What a cool, old building! Reminded me of my grandparent's house - original wood floors and all. A gentleman greeted us on the porch and offered to give us a tour. He had restored an old phonograph - the kind you see in old movies and he played it for us in the front room. Wow - that was really cool. We got to see a lot of tools and neat devices in the kitchen and in the work room. Upstairs is a child's bedroom and schoolroom. The authenticity of all the items was like step back in time. A very special treat. Go if you get the chance, as they don't seem to be open very many hours.
