The Tradewinds and Atlantic Railroad is a ride on miniature train system with typically two engines that runs a 5 minute look around a small lake within the Tradewinds Park. It typically only runs for a few days a month when not raining and is staffed by a mostly retired crew of railroad enthusiasts. Great for the kids and is only $1.50 a round trip ride ticket. Lots of parking inside the park and gifts are available. Of course, railroad themed.

A wonderful place to come and take a ride on a train. Usually on the 3rd weekend of the month.

I've always seen this place, we live close by so we finally decided to try it today. I bet the kids feel like it's magic. The operators are dressed up like real conductors and the route is scenic. $1.50 / ride. We even bought a train souvenir. They had ice cream also. They operate on donations and everyone volunteers their time.

The railroad was excellent! Tradewinds park on the north side looks like no upkeep has been done in years. The country store not open, the petting zoo not open, the horses not out, the playground not changed in 20 years. The fields for animals empty. And they charge $1.50 per person for this. That is ridiculous. Again, the railroad is worth it, and they charge $1.50 per ride for their upkeep, and it's worth it

Visited with 3 kids, kids loved the mini train ride.
We were happy as train rides happen every 3rd weekends of the month.
Each ride is 1.5 USD and worth it!

Open for public rides the 3rd full weekend every month. And a couple of special park events spring and fall. Fun for all ages at $1.50 a ride.

It was not what we had expected. It was pleasant but you don't sit in "cars". You sit one behind the other on board type seating. (Good thing the kids sat still!)
Someone with long legs would be very uncomfortable.

Fun little adventure to do with kids. Park in the grass best the train station. Make sure you buy tickets for $1.50 first. Children need to be able to walk on their own.

The ride lasts a few minutes and is entertaining. There is a spider tunnel, a bridge, and keep an eye out for Bigfoot.
