I really liked this museum. Small town with big history. Downtown shops and restaurants. The lady's were quite knowledgeable about the area and different periods during the Seminole ward and up to present day. Is a must see when in the area. It was free to see but donations accepted.

The building and area are very nice, nearby downtown looks pitoresk, just about 5 shops but cute. Museum is small, viewable in about 20min. I enjoyed hearing the guide explain abit, theyre very nice.. but missed learning about Chief Micanopy, missed artifacts of him or any tribes and wanted more information about the Natives...this is focused on the European settlers, Bertram, they dont mention slavery..I would combine this only if downtown has a nice festival at same time..

This place has such a friendly and old atmosphere. You can tell the small town has put a lot into preserving the whole town. Has stuff about old Micanopy, the native tribes, world war 11, and more. It's all so fascinating, only $2 per person when we went through during the fall festival

Fantastic. If we don't support these kind of awesome places, they will disappear. A must stop every time you're in Micanopy.
