Palatka Cinema

Took my son here for his birthday and they made his day! The manager and staff were​ so sweet to him and made him feel so special! The theater is very well maintained for an older place, and even smells good-pretty rare for and old movie theater. We had an amazing experience and will definitely be back often. Thanks Palatka Cinema and Amanda Tubbs you guys rock!

This is my families’ favorite afternoon spot. The prices are fair, and far cheaper than the St. Augustine Epic theater. The owner, Amanda, and the employees are all amazing and go above and beyond to accommodate all guests. When we come here, we normally come with five or more children under the age of eleven, and it is ALWAYS an enjoyable experience for all.

Great local movie theater and the prices are great too! I'm not one who loves spending almost $50 just for two tickets and concessions at the other theaters. So, this place is awesome. Highly recommend and they usually have the newest movies when they are first released as well.

The price was fair and the bathrooms fairly clean. My husband and went to see Captain Marvel. Our theater was the last door on the right. The movie and sound quality was acceptable. The only reason there isn't a 5 star rating is how unbelievably dirty the ceiling was. Well, there wasn't a ceiling. All the ducts and wires and piping was uncovered and coated with at least an inch of dust. BUT the service was friendly an knowledgeable and as mentioned, fairly priced.

Movie was good, but the atmosphere is terrible. Coke was poured from a 2 liter bottle and flat, totally unacceptable for $5 drink. Movie matinee price is great, but not when you can't get decent snacks. We went to a 4 PM show and Floors were very sticky.

Awesome movie theater with affordable prices. So you can afford to take the kids along too. The snacks aren't expensive. The theather itself is very clean. The restrooms are always clean. The staff is very friendly.

Jan 7, 2020. Sat in theater "listening"to previews with no picture. A patron went to complain saying "I didn't pay to stare at a blank screen".
One person on duty selling tickets AND working concession stand AND the protectionist. Needless to say, he couldn't wait on us all and fix problem.
To top it off, the $2.50 concession was a joke. I've never seen such a small popcorn bag. We opted to buy a large popcorn. Eaten a lot of theater popcorn, this was the worst ever, even though freshly popped. Kernels were hard. We asked for extra butter and worker hardly dabbled butter on bag.
We decided to leave theater. Worker said no refunds. With projection issue, I think he could have made an exception.
Left with movie voucher and voucher for candy. Will never buy that popcorn again.
Went to Dollar Tree and bought buttery, delicious popcorn.

This is a great small town cinema to enjoy an evening in Palatka. They often have the bigger titles even though it is a huge cost to them. The theaters are cozy and the staff is always very friendly. There are a few arcade games out in their lobby.
