The Disney & Pixar Short Film Festival at Epcot may be the hidden gem in all of Disney World. We didn't know what to really expect, but figured it would be a nice stop on a hot day to rest. I'm so happy we decided to check this out because it was phenomenal.

The queue for the "ride" is almost like a theater itself (without seats). There are videos running on monitors above that tell the story of Pixar (which was extremely interesting) while you wait for the doors to open. Once the doors open you enter a rather large theater (bigger than a Bugs Life at Animal Kingdom).

The films are wonderful and not quite what you expect. Without spoiling it I will just say that you should make it a point to check this out. I felt like it was one of the best experiences in all of Disney and I hadn't even heard about it prior to our visit.

This attraction is pure laziness by Disney. If the shorts cycled every once in awhile it would be better. This may be a placeholder for another film that is coming, but this film has unfortunately carried on to other parks and closed beloved films like Captain EO. You can skip this ride if you want to.

Do not miss out on this. The 3-D gimmick is just a small part of the fun. These are creative and funny short films. They are imaginative in the way that the best Pixar shorts have always been. The spirit of classic Disney is here too.

There are other attractions at Disney that you will wait in line far longer for that are far less entertaining.

Had a fun time. The seats moving wasn't necessarily a epic ride, but you shouldn't have to wait too long either. The Mickey short was fun, but the Oscar winning short Piper was my favorite.

What an unexpected gift while at Epcot, a crowded place with intense heat. There was no line to get into this one and provided AC. On top of it, you got to wear 3D glasses and watch three well-done short films. All three of us loved it, including our five-year-old daughter!

Must do! They show 3 of them and takes about 30mins total. This is a 5d theatre I believe as there is some slight movement and stuff thru the films. They change up from time to time but the 3 they show as of now is my favorite so far with this attraction.

A wonderful attraction in Epcot. You only have to wait at most 10 minutes and the air conditioning that it’s in is a great break from the heat. The three short films that I saw were super enjoyable and I would highly recommend stopping in!

A very nice example of Disney Film expertise
This experience is located right outside the exit from the Journey into Imagination with Figment ride. It is up a short flight of stairs or incline next to the jumping fountains. We have been to this show several times over the years and saw it again just a few weeks ago. There is a waiting area inside the building and air conditioning while you for the doors to open. Once the doors open you get your 3 d glasses and enter a large theater. Each time we have been there, the theater has never been full and you can sit close to the center. If it fills up, they will ask you to move to fill in every seat. I think they showed 3 short films: Get a Horse, Piper and a 3rd one that I can’t remember the name of. The first one was cute but seemed dated. The Piper one was excellent and is worth going just to see that film. I think that film alone is a great example of what types of films that Pixar excels at producing. If you are a fan of Pixar films then this is a show for you.
