The hotel is on a gorgeous beach and that is what you are paying for! However, the older buildings are in desperate need of remodeling. Our experience at JW has always been spectacular but this stay is certainly disappointing to say the least. There are many oversights at this location such as a lack of exceptional service and amenities. Everything within the hotel carries a hefty price-tag; with the sizzling climate of the area and the prestige of the brand, I would expect something as basic as complimentary water bottles. Yet something as simple as plastic water bottles were surprisingly difficult to find. Another thing we noticed here were the long lines for beach chairs and umbrellas in morning. Pools are nothing special and over crowded. House keeping tends to get upset if you ask for extra anything. We had to ask for clean towels because ours had hair on them. The sofa bed had a very strong odor to it so they did send a roll away bed right away. A lot of effort is made for the Lanai Tower guests. Our beach view from the balcony was beautiful and perfect for watching the stunning sunsets. We sincerely hope this resort improves on their guest amenities since it is a JW.

The JW Marriott Marco Island has always been a special place to us. We have spent many family vacations here. Sadly the current staffing of the hotel has made for a sub-par experience. The hotel seemed to be at full capacity this last weekend we spent here. There were only 2 restaurants open for breakfast in the whole hotel, one a grab and go and the other a sit down restaurant. Either option had 50+ people in line. This is the first time I have EVER stayed at a hotel and it's been impossible to get breakfast. The lines were so ridiculous we didn't eat breakfast either day. Yes you read that correctly, we didn't eat breakfast. There are so many restaurants at the hotel, perhaps they could open another one before 11:30 to accommodate the demand for your guests to simply eat breakfast??

The line to speak to anyone is 30+ people at the front desk. We have been waiting 30 plus minutes for our car at valet - no one can tell us how long it will be. The rate at this hotel is $650 plus a night, the service certainly doesn't equate to the rate you pay. Sadly we will have to look elsewhere for our favorite Florida family hotel. You've lost our business JW Marco island.

Room spacious, needs mattress cover or mattress not comfortable. Rooms are cleaned daily. Understand gulf view is also of other building but still see gulf. Recommend making dinner reservations before you arrive. Adult pool was best. Views in evening were spectacular

Great property. Nice pool and great access to the beach. Rooms also had amazing views of the gulf and the pristine white beach. The swimming pool is good. The food is super though a little expensive. Fantastic views of the gulf from the convention center. Great property overall.

We are currently staying here and while the property itself is beautiful and the location is good, I don't feel it's worth the price. Today was the 3rd day this week that we returned from the beach to get ready for dinner only to discover that our room was not cleaned. Aside from that, I don't think the rooms are really clean, as you would expect from a 4 star resort. We are here for a week and there isn't a single hook in our room to hang up wet towels or swimsuits.
Be aware that if you have any packages delivered here, the hotel charges you a handling fee based on weight. We were not advised of this and never encountered this at other hotels before.
I would suggest booking kids activities in advance, as many of them were booked up even before we arrived.

Holy SMOKES! My wife and I LOVED this place. The adult side is incredible.

I love staying on the water when I got places, but to stay on an overlook while having drinks and food AND having the best view of the water... priceless.

I've been to a lot of beaches in Florida this location is by far my favorite.

My family and I attended the Dr. Joe Dispenza conference held at the JW Marco Island and we booked a beautiful room with 2 queen beds with a balcony overlooking the gorgeous garden greenery and ocean. I loved that the hotel staff was so helpful to create comfort for the conference guests, go above and beyond with our requests and were extremely friendly. We tried the breakfast buffet and enjoyed the outdoor seating - our host, Ally, was FANTASTIC and she actually answered all of our questions, including calling her husband to find out info for us, which really shows how amazing these people are. They care, really. Mike, the overnight manager at the front desk, was so helpful, honest, authentic and shared the most amazing stories with us. We made a point to say hi every night and congratulate him on his amazing achievements in music, as well as in the hospitality industry. Daniel, the director of restaurants at this JW location was extremely kind, positive, curious and attentive to details. We loved bumping into him in the halls and learning about his new position. He is in the perfect place and has so many grand ideas to keep customer service/level of excellence high - and I think that's because he has a huge heart and you can tell when he looks at you he is really listening & hearing what you have to say. Thank you, Daniel, for creating a happy food space with the staff! The ocean is beautiful, the beach splendid and CLEAN - I love the chairs and umbrellas, super helpful. Take your meals outside on the balcony or on the main level on their terraces - so so so so peaceful. A great place to entertain. The conference hosted over 2,000 people and the hotel was basically all attendees - great staff and catering crew to feed all of us so quickly! Thank you for all that you do <3 10/10 recommend. A run/walk up the beach was beautiful!

I give this the high of a 2 rating simply for the staff (save for housekeeping). Room was dirty. Floor had candy wrappers from previous(or maybe it was housekeepings?) Spots on the mirror, Dirty sinks. Carpet is old and tearing up. Bondo everywhere around the shower. Old furniture. Creeky beds. Hot tub was cold. Premium pool chairs overtake the non premium and were empty. I felt like I was at the Holiday Inn without the odor(which I was grateful for but not worth the extra $600). There must be somewhere on the island that is worth the money. I guess if you just want to say you stayed at the JW Marriot you won't care about what you get for the money... Would not stay here again and will certainly question the next time I think of staying at any JW Marriot. We understand that hurricane Ian hit 6 weeks ago, and take in account that things were a mess and they had staff working around the clock to get things back in order. The hurricane however does not explain my complaints. The only thing I can think that may be hurricane related was possibly the heater for the hot tub wasn't working and they are still waiting on a part.
