Herlong Mansion

Perfect place for a weekend getaway. My husband took me there for my birthday. They offered a complimentary glass of wine or a beer. We had a cheese and cracker platter that was amazing. The Herlong Mansion is a sight to see. If you haven't been then your missing out.

We recently spent the night at the Herlong Bed and Breakfast. Our only regret is we could only stay one night due to the road trip we were on. The building and grounds are gorgeous. It is like stepping back in time. The rooms are beautifully furnished, even the smaller ones. Breakfast was delicious too! The staff were friendly and helpful. We would love to come back and stay for a longer period of time and get to know the area better.

So much great about this BNB. Quiet location a old picturesque town. The Mansion is truly amazing. We stayed in the Carriage Cottage and it was perfect. Clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic with an very nice coffee bar available anytime. Best part with the people! Katharine, the host was truly wonderful. Perfect communications the day before and the day of our arrival. The woman who was working in and serving breakfast was a very sweet and kind person. The grounds are beautiful as well. If your looking for a perfect, private and quiet weekend in the Gainesville / Micanopy area I doubt there would be a better place. The Mansion actually looks exactly like the website pictures are the Website!! Top notch quality BNB. Enjoy your stay

Stayed here with my girlfriend on a Sunday night, and it was a really nice getaway. The staff at the mansion are all extremely accomodating, professional and friendly - and just nice folks.

The common areas were in great shape, the rooms were extremely clean and the overall venue was welcoming and rich in history. We're definitely coming back.

What a great experience!!!! Katherine, the manager, makes sure your stay is hassle free. My wife made the arrangements to stay here and discussed our dietary restrictions, Katherine had no issue in meeting them. Many bed and breakfasts we have tried to stay lost our patronage because they didn't go the extra mile to earn our business. The mansion is amazing in that it's mostly original with modern improvements, electricity, plumbing, wifi, etc. The afternoon cookies were delicious and the wine just as good. They have local craft beers for non wine drinkers. The breakfasts were wonderful and tasty, kudos to the kitchen staff. The city of Micanopy is very quaint and has loads of antique shops. It's very peaceful and relaxing. My wife and I enjoyed sitting on the second floor patio in the huge couch swings or the rocking chairs. You are about 15 minutes away from Gainesville where major restaurants and attractions are.

Amazing experience here the mansion was beautiful and the room was wonderful. Only thing I ask is for the banana nut muffin recipe. FOOD WAS AMAZING! MUFFIN WAS ADDICTIVE!!

We stayed n Her long suite up stairs ..truly a cool experience. I would definitely recommend to another.such a welcoming staff..the owner we met and she was very nice..the house takes u back n history and through the house is cool picture that tell u all about the houses history 🥰.. breakfast is served n the morning and it's yummy..I would definitely stay her again when passing through..it's a quite cute little town..so if u love history this is a great place to be.
