Charlie's Auto and Truck Repair

We have been to Charlie’s a couple of times and they have always quoted the same or cheaper than any other place on the island. The service we received this time was impeccable. We went in to change the bearings and tire rotation. The alignment was off after the tire change and they did this for free. An oil change was offered but my husband does this at home- we declined it but the service had already been done- so free too!! We highly recommend Charlie’s and are happy to return for our car maintenance.

I use them for all my service and repairs. Usually get a fair deal and knowledgeable repair, although my most recent was an air conditioning repair, it worked for a week. I look under the hood and saw green stuff coming out of the high pressure valve. I brought it back and they said it will cost $1600 more after just spending $700. I said no thanks and went to an auto parts store, got a new high pressure valve and some Freon, put it on, recharged it myself. Spent $30 total and the A/C has worked great for a month. Brought a different vehicle in two weeks ago, they diagnosed and repaired it very reasonably. Even with a great shop you sometimes have to use some common sense or occasionally get a second opinion. I will still continue to use them for most of my service and repairs.

So glad I took my daughter’s car to Charlie’s Auto Repair! I was expecting them to have to order a part, wait for it to come in, go back to have the replacement done and then pay a few hundred dollars for all of it. Instead, Cliff immediately put the car up on the lift and assessed the situation. He determined the existing part could easily be safely re-secured. He fixed it on the spot and didn’t even charge us anything for his time/labor. How nice not to be taken advantage of and shown kindness in a time of need. Thank you Cliff! Charlie’s now has a new customer for all our automotive repair needs!!

Charlie's is a great place to take your vehicle. Clif and Charlie are guys you can trust. I've been taking both our car and our truck there for several years now. On a couple of occasions they could have easily charged much more than they did and I would not have known the difference. It's worth your time to go see them.

Needed to have a couple of tires replaced on my Honda Odyssey. Charlie made sure everything would work up front, told me when he could get to my vehicle, and then took care of everything exactly as he said he would. I appreciate the timeliness and excellence of their work. I'll be back.

My husband insists I get premium ethanol-free gas at Charlie's for my 1988 560 SL Mercedes convertible. I don't drive the car a lot and it always runs great!

Brought my 88 suburban there and they did a full motor swap and took great car of me and brought my truck back to life while also doing an inspection on it for things to be mindful of. I don't write a whole lot of reviews, but Charlie's is more than worthy. We took a Jetta in for a radiator replacement. They were much more reasonable on price than the Dealership. The new radiator came with a warranty and unfortunately sprung a leak. They worked with the supplier, had a new one sent in and swapped them out, no questions asked. Labor was on their dime even though the part replacement didn't cost them. Brought the guys in the back some beer when I picked it up and all has been good. Fast forward - our Motorhome dash AC went out, took it into them since they did such a great job on the Jetta TDI. They found the leak, gave me a quote and a timeframe, ordered the parts and to my surprise - they got it done a day early and the final price was $100 less than they quoted. That NEVER happens these days. The honesty and character these guys have shown is outstanding. I'll be brining the guys another round of beers soon!
