We got the chopped pork, Mac and cheese, sweet potato fries, and green beans. Plus to top it all off, we got the Oreo Cream pie which was seriously delicious. The Texas toast was perfectly buttery and tasted better than Zaxby’s. The line wasn’t too bad, but wow is this a perfectly kept secret.

Staying with friends. They told us about Pearl County Store and their barbecue. We picked up a small brisket sandwich to try it. Wow, it was exceptionally good. Today we stopped in for a late lunch. Ordered a brisket meal, large portion. Jason said it's great reheated and I wrongly stated there wouldn't be anything left to take home. Portions were plentiful and the food was excellent. About the best brisket I've had. Comparable to Kansas City barbecue. Cooked just right. Sides were also very good. Highly recommend this place. All the staff was friendly and very courteous.

We needed a Midway point to meet friends and family so we met here and had lunch. You would never expect food this good at a gas station. it’s a barbecue place located in a gas station. Great barbecue and a reasonable price. Good sized portions too. We will definitely go back when we were in the area!!

Brisket and pulled pork barbecue sandwich were excellent! My wife and I weren’t sure being at a gas station but the food and service were very good!

I could not believe the reviews for this place, so we tried it out and I WAS WRONG. This place has some of the best barbeque I have ever had. Yes, it is located at a gas station, but don't let that fact keep you away. This is not your standard "gas station food". The portions are very large, the meat (pork, ribs, beef, etc) is tender, juicy, and empiraclly DELICIOUS. Hands down the best baked beans. The employees were very nice and attentive. If you are passing Micanopy, stop and get some food from this place! Oh and the Southern sweet barbeque sauce, soooo good!

Pearl's BBQ is variously fantastic.

Whether ribs, brisket, pork, or chicken, they smoke and serve up really great meats. Can order by the pound or lunches with sides including baked beans (with drippings), vinegar and garlic (North Carolina?) style slaw. Mac and cheese is also one of the better ones around.

Their burgers though really shine! Obviously they use fresh ground beef, and on a nice soft kaiser roll. Currently Pearl's is my top choice for burgers with few contenders approaching them. Culver's similarly uses fresh beef and is good, but not as good. Steak 'n Shake, similar, but not quite as good. Burger King's Whopper is frankly the only thing worth eating off their menu, and McDonald's quarter pounder is next, though some of their locations don't bother to use fresh and just use frozen patties instead.

Their staff are always friendly and work hard to dish up their excellent food. I strongly encourage tipping, they're generally worthy and certainly appreciate it!
