Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

Our waitress was not great, and their food has declined greatly. I got a Chocolate chip muffin and it was extremely dry, and the sausage was burnt and extremely small portioned. The hostess was friendly and great, she asked us how it was and even got us a new muffin!

Julie was great, great food and fast service. My life partner and I love Perkins.

There was not any help the young girl that served us kept apologizing I told her it was not her fault the food was not good had one cook in restaurant and he wasn't getting the orders out very fast everytime someone came in they told them it would be a 30 minute wait and someone had ordered 18 hamburgers and they weren't even ready when the guycame to pick them up in my opinion if you do not get some help in your restaurant you are not going to have any customers me and my friends will not be back it was the worst food we had

My food was pretty bad but the service and such was quite good.
I'm an idiot sometimes and can't remember certain words when I want to use them, and unfortunately yesterday was one of those times. Instead of asking for my eggs to be cooked over-easy, I asked for fried, sunny side up. Which means different things to different cooks, so my eggs being under cooked for my taste was totally my own fault.

However, the french toast I ordered was more like dry bread with a barely-there hint of egg wash on top. It almost seemed like instead of pouring egg wash on the bread or dipping the bread into it, they lightly brushed the egg wash onto the bread before putting it on the grill. I was so disappointed. 😭

right away....Our waitress was attentive...and you could tell that she really
liked her job...BIG change in past visits.
Kudos to new management- or WHOEVER
is responsible for added help and the
servers that were responsible...😉😁☕!

Slooooooow. Six tables max in the restaurant and took 50 minutes for a simple egg breakfast and a BLT to come out. The lettuce on the sandwich looked like cooked spinach. Haven't been here since the day I moved to town six years ago. Now I remember why.

So far this has been the easiest nicest and yummiest place to eat in Mount Dora. I don't mean like fine dining I mean most chains here are trash. Thank you for being somewhere my kid wants to go on the weekends. Thank you for not serving the cheapest food you can get.

I waited 10 minutes and was never even asked what I wanted to drink. Before I walked out, I told the manager and everyone just pointed fingers. No one said they were sorry or anything. This was at 1:27pm on Black Friday and they were NOT busy...maybe 3 tables. I probably won't be back.
