Taste Rite is a favorite bakery. They offer patties with vegetables, chicken, beef, ackee, callaloo, etc. The crusts are delicious and flaky and leaves one craving more. Pair a patty with a cocobread and you'll come back often to savor more. The bakery also offers cakes, breads, puddings and a variety of drinks. If you're having a party order mini patties to give everyone a taste of the Caribbean. I highly reccomend the staff and the restaurant.

Patties used to be excellent. The flakiness is wonderful but I’ve noticed that the filling has changed - seems as if some sort of jelly type filling is added to the jerk chicken patties.

Used to be amazing years ago. Now I can’t eat it. It changed a lot.

Not because you excel doesn’t mean you change the formula of what made you excel in the first place.

Placed order on Tuesday for 3 dozen patties. Was told they would be ready Thursday. Called on Thursday before driving down from Boca. Asked if they were ready before driving down.

Lady on the phone rudely replied "if you ordered them, they will be ready"

Arrived. At the store. They were not ready/lost the order. 30 minute drive from boca, down here visitng the parents.

Lots of other bakeries around. Won't be back.

What I don't understand is how your sign says from 930 to 6 that means you should have product up until 6 o'clock or change your sign from 930 until a sold out. It's very annoying as a customer. I guess it's just a Jamaican thing...

Whenever you see Jamaican people waiting in long lines patiently you know the food is fresh, hot & good.

The beef patties are ok good not the best (the beef was just too watery, the shrimp didn’t taste like shrimp and the ackee was just ok) that I’ve had but they can eat. I also had the potato pudding and I must say it was very tough and hard to swallow.

Despite the long lines they are quick and efficient and the service was good for a fast food Jamaican restaurant. I would recommend.

Coming from NY - it’s a blessing to move near to a patty shop. I had two patties and coco bread and gizzada and enjoyed it.
Kingston Tropical Bakery in the Bronx used to see me frequently so I am sure Taste Rite will see me just as much.
