I like it here and really want to stay another year. Rent increases are absurd however, mine at nearly 14% and others have been looking at increases well into the 20% range.

It doesn't make sense, I've had a pleasant time here but we are paying more for demonstrably less than what I got when I first moved in. Less security doors working, call boxes don't work, pools are cleaned less often, equipment has been stolen from the workout areas etc.

Love the area, and have never had any problems with the office and maintenance team. I'm sure these ridiculous rents come from higher up in the MAA company.

I may update this if I end up working out a better deal, fingers crossed

DO NOT RENT HERE!!!!

I made it very known to the leasing agent that I would only be staying 3 months and that I will be moving back home afterwards. I was never told or notified while I was touring (before even looking at a lease) that I would need 60 days notice and that it had to be written. Even when I was signing my lease and moving in I notified the leasing agent that I was moving out after 3 months and he never once mentioned to give 60 days notice. I was not fully understanding that your lease will begin to auto-renew if you don’t give 60 days notice of move out. So, even though I had made it known in my message to schedule a tour, telling the agent on my tour, and even on my move in date that I would not be coming back a heads up or a word of advice was never given, not even a note in my profile was written down. Also he could’ve just taken 10 seconds to tell me to write it down on a sticky not for management and all of my issues could have been avoided. When I asked management why the leasing agent never gave me this advice the response I got was “that is not our job sir”, how is it not their job? The job of a leasing agent is to help the new resident fully understand the policies and procedures of the complex. I have never been so amazed by a comment from a manager before. The management team made me feel very dumb and like a small human being during my discussion with them. This is my first time trying to rent an apartment on my own and I feel I was taken advantage of and that management simply does not care about their residents. My best word of advice to anyone reading this is: find a complex that has leasing agents that actually help you and aren’t just trying to reach a sales goal. They should prioritize their policies and procedures in their sales pitch and make sure they are educating you properly. This complex certainly did not do any of that. All they want is to reach their soaps goal for the month and they take advantage of the auto renew system and keep taking your money. I will not be coming back.

Deliberated a lot before posting this, but here it goes….

I’ve lived here for almost 4years to say that I will NOT recommend this place for anyone considering this apartment.
This place has changed so much over the years.

1. The rental has gone up by over 13percent in 1 year. They are comparing to neighboring appts to justify this. But the reality is that the apartment buildings are over 30yrs old!

2. The maintenance folks and front desk staff are courteous and have a good work ethic. Some specific members
management are terrible. Due to this the maintenance requests take forever to get done.

3. Our building is infested with ants over the last 2 years and most of my floor folks have complained only to find least response from the management to tackle it
4. Building are old and are prone to too many maintenance issues. I have had over 20issues in just 2022.
5. Some apartment roofs leak and it takes over a month to fix it every time.. I have had this happen 3 times.

Today I found - one of the staff members has a been lying that a maintenance request has been put-in, only for me to realize after 3 days of visiting the office that no such request has been made. It’s unfortunately very disappointing.

While I definitely hate having to submit a maintenance request because that means something is broken or not working the way it should…...I am incredibly blessed to have a maintenance team that includes Hector! I’ve only met Hector a couple of times in person, he has for sure been an incredible help for every big and small request I submit for my place. I am incredibly impressed with the turnaround time that he and his team have for requests given that we live in such a huge apartment complex.

Great maintenance team.

Management is responsive (although the staff turns over all the time of course). In-house maintenance is extraordinary, mostly same-day or next-day service. Elevators are maintained by outside contractor, as are laundry washers and driers. At least eight restaurants/bars, dog boarding/grooming, and hair salon on street level. Four parks allow dogs on leashes.

This post is to express our appreciation for the MAA Post Addison Circle Apartments Maintenance Team. We've been tenants for 6 years now and been well taken care of by this team. Their response to our needs has always been timely and professional. Can't say enough good things about them.

Please do not move here, consider other properties. I have had ongoing issues with my heater breaking down constantly with no solution. For the amount of rent I pay I expect a fully functioning unit. The late fees here are almost $200 for the first day of being late…my kids bikes were stolen, my packages get stolen frequently…my current unit has a “loft” that feels like a sauna when you turn on the heater which makes it hard to even be in that space for more than 10 minutes. There is no telling when the temperatures will drop and I will freeze in my apartment with my children, the manager doesn’t care at all or even cares
to show a slight pint of empathy.

The maintenance team is really sub-par. They constantly had to come back to re-do work that I was very, very clear would not fix the issues we were having with the HVAC system. Most of the time they just put a band-aid on a problem that caused long-term issues for the resident. We experienced a big lack of communication between the maintenance people & us - they would just show up unannounced.

After living here 4 years with the consistent & non-fixed issues, crazy rent increases, and despite being excellent tenants, management decided not to waive any early termination fees for us, despite never having been late & only ending our lease 2.5 months early. Pretty shady, careless, and apathetic management, IMO.

The only one saving grace is the location, but I'd rather live somewhere else & not deal with these issues.
