Great place for the startup Meetups in Latvia. TechHub Rīga organize them once per month on the first Thursday of the month. Preliminary agenda and speakers are announced about week in advance. More info could be found on Facebook page and via Meet Up app.

Good little flea market once in a while. There is a museum nearby and the central market too.

I really like Spīķeri creative quarter in its music season! They invite many music groups from Latvia and other neighboring countries and there is always good music and stuff to do! I also love flea markets and food festivals which they organize! Entrance is always free! Almost forgot about the sport events and comic standup shows! Everything there is well organized, clean and friendly......family friendly and animal friendly!

We managed to randomly catch a concert there. It seems that this place has been refurbished and it is used for events of these type. I loved the whole industrial vibe. Next to it there was a late-night veggie market. Not sure if that happens every night. We were there on a Wednesday.

Great place that's surprisingly close to the centre. There's a fun playground, a large space for crowds, and very clean bathrooms. No cover for rain/wind though, so think of appropriate attire.

Child friendly urban area where events are held. Located just next to Central Market which is another POI itself

The area is really very attractive ... The transformation has made it even more fascinating. To visit the ghetto museum, free admission with free donation.
European funds for the architectural restoration of this art nouveau warehouse district have been used to best effect. Functional recovery was respectful and effective. A large pleasant pedestrian area overlooking the river. It is a part of the city that has been recovered, therefore a just pride and honor for merit. Not to be missed.

In general that place leaves much to be desired for. Often a place for bum gathering.
