The best place for visiting in Riga. Very large exhibition, convenient places for animals watching. There are several sport activity squares for children and several cafés (prices are higher than usually). Please, do not feed animals, it is really important. Fast viewing may take about 3-4 hours but I recommend to reserve more especially when visiting with children.

It's a lovely zoo to stroll through with both kids as well as with adult friends and family. Animals seem to be living in rather nice conditions. The zoo has plenty of toilets, cafes and snack stalls within the park.

Lovely zoo, where you get to see the animals quite up close. It takes approximately 3h of leisurely stroll to finish the zoo. Kids will definitely have fun.

Can recommend it for the whole family if you're visiting Riga. The Zoo has a large area and a lot to see. The place has plenty of cafés and toilets for breaks in between.

Lovely zoo, very spacious and clean. There are descriptions about every animal however most of them didn’t have English translations, if you’re a foreigner you might struggle understanding. Also it’s quite silly to pay 7€ for parking when the adult ticket is 10€.

The Zoo is not perfect but not bad after all; I would rate it as 4 of 5. It is big enough and in quite good condition; animals seem to be treated well. Some of the expositions like Savanna are very convenient and nice. Unfortunately, there are many domestic animals who are not so interesting to watch; open air sites are much better than closed ones; birds' aviaries are quite small. There are a lot of selling points with snacks and picking places with decent views to the river. It will take more than 4 hours to walk it through.

A good place to visit with family and kids.
You can count to spend there 3-4h of slow walking some animals may be unavailable but 90% will be still available to observe.
Adault ticket costs 10eur,kids <3years free of charge.
