Lucavsala recreational park

Lovely place - to be easily reached by walk, bike or car, with many kids park attractions, several places with refreshment, its a little island on Daugava river so in warm days you can enjoy also swimming in the river with nice little sand spots/beaches to easily enter the water.

A green island in the middle of river Daugava. Easy to reach by car, public transport, bicycle or foot. In the warm season there are two official beaches but for swimming it's not that convenient as it's always crowded. Occasionally big live music events are hosted in the park territory.

Peaceful places for families with all ages. Parking lots, guarded beaches, camp sites, BBB vanues, children playgrounds and more are welcoming and free for you. I drove my family there many times and loved these parks every time.

Lucavsala is the best place in Riga for families with kids. Only here you can find various playground for different ages, also beach and river with lifeguards, good roads for bicycle, scooter etc, and also tables for picnic. On the other side of the park there are even barbecue grill. Everything you need to spend great day with family and friends.

One of the best parks in town

Wonderful place in the middle of the city. You can find small beaches, playgrounds, ice-cream stalls and the real pizza place.
Tables, sport equipment renting and plenty of apple trees.

A very nice and clean park to spend the summer days. Variety of cafe choices, also playgrounds, volleyball field and a place for swimming. Definitely recommend!

A nice park to walk around with a good selection of children's play equipment for both older and younger children. Nice body of water as well by the park and lots of people doing activities. Has the bonus of an outdoor gym too.
