Another point I found very dishonest is that I gave the van with tanks full , 150l of gasoline, when got the van back it was totally empty. It represents a loss of well 170 euros. This is pure steeling.
Also, an engine oil leak was present and nothing was advised about it to me. It has been a point for technical control to fail.
Communication is not their strong point, answering a mail takes weeks, and at no point I was aware about the estimated price of the repair.
The van is a classic Ford Econoline from 1988, it is pure mechanics. The problem is a dying engine after a while driving. Obviously, they were not up to the task.
Deceived, I can't recommend.
UPDATE 1
Ford Latvia has been kind to contact me to agree on a solution.
They offered me to bring the car back, make a new diagnostic for free and I would just pay for the repairs at a good rate.
I declined for 3 reasons:
first I am reluctant considering the first experience that was a sequence of internal problems on their side which has been acknowledged.
Second I found another service which has been highly recommended to me. I already took the appointment.
And last, which is my main concern is the loss of gasoline for which I have been offered a car wash voucher and a message asking me to erase the comment I made here. One can obviously understand my feelings, offended is the less I can say.
This incident confirms the poor opinion I have about their service and the reason why I don't feel confident to return to them. They thus well deserve my bad rating.
UPDATE 2
I have been offered a leave it or take it offer by filling 50% of my tanks at Ford's expense arguing that they needed some gasoline to run the tests.
I totally agree the service needs gasoline to run tests... Now let's agree on how much gasoline can be used.
50% in my case represents 80 liter, that makes roughly a bit more than 500km of tests.
Two solutions, they ran so much tests with no result or they did not run so much test meaning what I am complaining about, they stole my gazoline.
So I do not agree on those terms.
I am truly upset by the arguments they are giving making me feel being... you understand, just because they are the big one and they really don't care.
