Rija Domus Hotel

The hotel location is simply amazing, you just step out of the hotel and you are in the inner city center. The appliance of the room was simple, yet nice. TV could have been newer - while watching the colourful screen turned into black & white. At the breakfast they served both local food - for emaple cottage cheese or omelet made typically in Latvian style. The breakfast room is locatel on the -1 floor, you´d better take a hoodie or sweatshirt with you. The hotel disposes luggage room, where we could leave our luggage after check out. For shorter stay this hotel fulfills all your needs

The staff was terribly unfriendly and uncommunicative, the receptionist hardly spoke with us. Their OS fell down, so the check-in lasted about 30 minutes but in the end, the receptionist wrote down all our ID information and even all credit card details on a piece of paper.
The "hotel" seems to be rather a dorm-like system of room units and needs renovation - the bathroom was filthy and moldy, the sink didn't work appropriately, the floor was visibly dirty and the whole place stung. Not to mention that there is no AC.
The breakfast was very poor, maybe the worst I've ever had in a hotel/hostel.
The parking spot is located 400 metres away from the hotel and costs 15€ per 24 hours.
The only positive thing about this place is it's location.

The location is perfect, no question about it. The breakfast wasn't anything special, rather basic with no huge variety of food, but still fine for a weekend trip. The good thing was that from the street we could not listen any disturbing noise, but in exchange we could listen everything from the neighbours.. The walls made of carton paper. The room was well equipped, but quite old, warm water didn't always come from the shower etc. The personal was really kind and helpful tho.

I booked 2 rooms in this hotel. Good location in the old city but very dirty, so much dust that no one clean under the beds in very long time. I got astma attacks all my 3 days stay. Breakfest was very cheap with cold and dry bread, very unfresh. Not recommended!

Location is great, rooms are sadly very limited. Great people are working in this hotel, very friendly and personal service,but hotel is sad. In need of improvement. Horrible breakfast. Will not stay there. Bad choice for the price, not worth it at all.

The room was a little small but it was enough when you are only looking for a place to sleep and do not plan on hanging out in the room too much. The building is slightly outdated and the decor and room equipment could use a little glow up but for the price it was alright. Staff was very nice, especially the ladies in the "restaurant" where the breakfast was served, breakfast was nice as well. The location is the best part though, pretty much everything is within walking distance!

Great service from staff. Secure place to keep your luggage prior check in / post check out. Room is comfortable with good sized bathroom (I had shower only).
Breakfast is good, decent coffee, lots of variety (continental style breakfast)

Stay in this hotel when visiting Riga. Close to everything bars,resturants, tourist attractions. We come every year for independence day and its a great event
