House of the Black Heads

I would say that is the most beautiful building on all old town in Riga. The point of orientation too. Nice in the night and in the day. The front you have Roland statue and in the xmas time the big tree.

Lovely place! It's absolutely gorgeous place for receptions, concerts, and other events alike. Includes museum of the Black Heads Guild as well as different halls full of renessance art and furniture.

Interesting building that had been rebuilt almost entirely from scratch (there are still remains of the original building in the basement) and worth a visit when visiting Riga Old Town as it sits in the original city square and is the former presidential palace.

The most iconic building in all of Latvia! Once a merchant guild for unmarried Germans, the building was completely destroyed in WW2. After independence the it has been rebuilt back to its former glory.

The inside is as beautiful as the exterior, I would highly recommend a tour of the museum.

The building is also claimed as the location where the first cristmas tree was created. 🎄

The atmosphere is incredible. It's located between the cathedral, dome and river. The evening time is really pleasant. The open space is very big. The house is open till 17.00, at least on working days. It's very historical and most iconic in old town. It was built in 14th century but recently renovated. Must see!

Beautiful buildings and location near Riga’s historic UNESCO rated city centre. The architecture is stunning and a great photo opportunity.

Beautiful place! Very nice building, and beautiful representative premises. It includes the museum of the Blackheads Guild, as well as various halls full of Renaissance art and furniture. The whole building of the Blackheads Guild is very nicely restored, where as it was very damaged during WW2. The staff is friendly and welcoming.

The house of black heads, a centre attraction in Riga. Situated in the old Town, on the banks of Daugava River. This place is most popular and always charming. You will find people hanging out here, enjoying their coffee in nearby cafes, simply roaming around and enjoying themselves. A must visit place in Riga and Baltics.
