Stoney Nakoda Resort & Casino

The rooms was beautiful , clean and comfy and the mountain did not disappoint. The pool and hot tub area was also nice and clean amd a nice to relax after a long hike. The food was not good and not worth the price. Was expecting way higher quality for the price and the atmosphere was lacking. Casino was good lots of current games, friendly table and bar staff but the place could use some updating. it feels like a bit of a time warp.

The place is well maintained. The restaurant food is fantastic. Breakfast isn't available until 8 a.m. - which means walking to the Tim Hortons at the Gas Station - meant for car traffic, not pedestrian. Staff are friendly. Some issues with room service. Phone and safe did not work and couldn't get safe issues resolved until after it was too late to use it.

Easily accessible, breakfast at the restaurant was very good. If you're going for gambling, the casino is very small and only open part of the day. Card tables didnt open until 3pm and only one player showed up the whole evening, so not widely utilized. Staff was polite. Rooms were clean. Resort was quiet since no one was there and dated, kind of a sad deserted feel.

Aug.2/2022. Extremely disappointed, our group came here for our retreat after driving for 8 hours. had ordered room service...waited 3 hours called down to kitchen to see if our order got lost. I did not receive a response. I went down to the kitchen to find out that my food has been sitting there for hours....they tried to charge me for the food. I had prepaid...they argued about it even though they had the receipt...they were going to charge our room.... such a disaster. Disappointment. Sad experience... I do not recommend this place. Worse of all management did not care.

MY REVIEW MAY OR MAY NOT BE SEEN AND MAY OR MAY NOT MATTER TO THESE GUYS AS PEOPLE WILL GO ANYWAYS BUT...wow the slots are super tight to take your MONEY fast! I went through 400 fast and felt ripped off on their slots the other day!

And how is 7.50 for a beer happy hr consideration! COME ON!

Now I will not be stopping in anymore in the future to take a break from all the driving when coming from BC!

Waitress on duty Sunday brunch time should know you don't tell the customer they are wrong. Got 2/12 food orders incorrect. Had to remind her about salad dressing and gravy ordered. Put all the coffee on one tab without explaining beforehand.

Spacious comfortable clean rooms with large bathrooms & helpful friendly staff (much nicer than Inns of Banff).
Would give 5 stars if a basic buffet breakfast was included.
Would give a gazillion stars IF the Sat evening PRIME RIB & LOBSTER TAIL all you can eat BUFFET was restored.

We all drive past this resort a million times and are as curious as my husband and I were so we decided to spend our 5 year wedding anniversary here and where do I begin...we upon arrival front desk staff was super nice and helpful had a quick check in, when we got to our "superior king room" it was extremely dirty and outdated. The couch had bodily fluid stains with a nice blanket of dust covering it, the furniture and walls were all pretty well scratched up and damaged and dirty the lamp shade looked like it had dried blood all over it...needless to say we requested a new room. Upon arrival to our second room which had two single beds instead of a kind we found several air conditioning units taken apart all over the rooms and bed..ofcourse we called front desk again for a new room. The third room was pretty much the same as the first and this time the carpet was even bunching under your feet when you walk. At this point it was 10pm and we were both exhausted so we just took the room. To my surprise the washrooms in all the rooms were the cleanest part.
Next comes the casino its very well lit however extremely small, we spent about half an hour at the casino and we're ready to leave. The came room service which they do not deliver to your room unless you can pay with cash or have a credit card on file. We ended up having to go down to the bar to pick up and pay for our food which was sub par at best, we paid close to 50 bucks for two burgers that we couldn't even eat. On the positive side after we did complain the next day about the room mishap we were comped an extra night and the bartender with the short hair was the best part of our stay.
