Hi All, we visited a good friend who has a trailer site here. The lake was created behind the Dickson Dam a hydroelectric project site about 30 years ago. Nice lake, rather deep right away from shore; the beaches are just as rocky as they are sandy. There is a great hiking and biking trail around the entire lake. The recreation areas are very well maintained. Most of the recreation areas are privately owned; the few open camping spots have toilet facilities but not showers and there are no power hook ups. Better for day trips than longer stays. However, it is Alberta,so it is beautiful. Enjoy.

This place is amazing, you can go up to literally anyone and have a conversation with them and instantly become friends!

I usually don't write reviews. I just called there to ask about camping there for a few day and to ask some questions about it. The lady with a french accent answered. She was extremely rude to me and she hung up on me. I am not impressed at all.

We spent every weekend here for the last 10 years. The people are awesome, the amenities are great and it's just far enough from home to feel like we're on vacation

awesome place for the day. camping is nice too. just a little bit of courtesy issues sometimes between campers and visitors for the day. all in all generally a great place for a day but if it's busy definitely head further north to sylvan lake. much bigger and safer for bigger boats

Visited a friend who has a lot here and fell in love... not only is this RV park on a lake it also has an inground outdoor pool for people that aren't lake swimmers. The park has a stocked pond with a beautiful water fountain in the center that lights up at night. Benches surround the pond so you can sit and enjoy the tranquility. Kids can keep what they catch but adults are catch and release.
Amenities in the park include a store, a hall that can be rented, the nicest public washrooms/showers that I've ever seen in a camping park. There's a boat launch and a beach at the lake. There's a waiting list to get a seasonal site here but personally I think it's worth the wait.
