Sunset Legion Campground

Very nice campgrounds. Could have better high spots for tents in the rain. People that are in the office are very friendly and lots of the campers are there yearly so they know each other and are very welcoming of new faces. Will most likely return to this campground! 🤗

Haven't been here since I was a kid and I'm very impressed! Sites have lots of mature trees and there are two beach areas, kids loved it!

The sites are very clean and spacious.

The people taking care if the place are extremely friendly and go the extra mile!

It's a gated community so people can't just show up anytime unless they have family or friends and know there site number.

They have a few weird rules like times for your generator to be on. Some people didn't follow those rules, and it wasn't a big deal to anyone.

They are very chill to say the least!

They have 2-3 playgrounds for kids!

A couple boat launches! But unfortunately no docks yet as they are waiting for approval from fish and wildlife to use them.

Lastly, the sites are enclosed with alot of trees! The people that own their own sites are very friendly! And I recommend going for a walk through the entire campground! It's peaceful!

I will be coming back! 🙂

I should have read the reviews before my family booked here. We would not have come to this camp site. The management is very difficult to deal with to the point of being rude. There is a malevolent tone just below the surface.

I bought some wood and the camp manager complained about the people that regularly camp there.

If there are any positive comments put in after this comment, I suspect that it would only be from the site manager’s friends to keep the rating up.

Such a great campsite and a truly hidden gem in Central Alberta! Quiet, clean amd extremely well maintained. The hosts are fantastic people and cant wait to spend more time out there! There's even a dog beach to take your doggos to and play in the water!! Highly recommended if you are looking to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet.

It's under new management and it is a nice change to the previous people. It feels very friendly and welcoming, they have a gate which gives a more secure feeling. The people who occupy the seasonals are usually very kind to interact with and make it more lively. I enjoy everytime I come up here. The beaches are a bit on the rocky side, many rocks. But they are clean, and have benches as well. There's many trees and some wildlife, it's nice to walk through. People in the other reviews some have complained about generator times, it is three hours to charge twice a day. I think that's enough time unless you're trying to power a TV 24/7. There is no power provided by them, I can't remember if there's water hookup, if so, it's for seasonals.

1st time camping here. I can say it will not be our last. So peaceful and clean. And great location to the beach. The host are fantastic, go out of thier way to help in everyway.

Campground is great. Day use beach is full of rocks and once u hit the water you sink in the rocks and clay.. was not a good day last weekend.
