Great for walks and time away from civilization. Paths are easy to follow and there are maps everywhere. We brought a big wheel stroller but struggled in a few spots especially around the little slough. I’m surprised nobody knows about this walking area. Maybe it’s for the best :)
Edit April 21: confirmed with Lacombe County that trails are open but washrooms are closed. Not sure why someone marked the park as temporary closed

Another place I did not know about. I've lived in Blackfalds for 10 years and heard about the trails from a friend. Kuhnen Park is beside the Wapiti Campground, with a place to park your vehicle and begin your adventure. Grassy well traveled trails make for an easier hike, yet still feeling like you're out in the bush. Beautiful scenery with Lacombe Lake and ponds, as well as the wildlife in and around. The geese swam on the lake, and hawks flew above. We enjoyed our little adventure and look forward to returning.

Beautiful campground. Facilities for one family, and some sights big enough for 5 families. Owners are lovely.
