I recently toured Deer Valley Meadows Camp. Working in the camp industry and seeing a lot of different types of camps, I was very impressed with their accommodation options. They had everything from cabin style dorms to family and couples accommodation. Many options included a secluded meeting area and kitchen. Their staff are very friendly and made our group feel right at home. The property is located in the country on a very attractive piece of land...the views of the river valley from the dining hall is incredible! If you are looking for a venue for a large conference, wedding, to run camp programming or hold a family reunion - you should definitely check them out.

I enjoy my drive from Mesa, Arizona each year to live for several months as able at Deer Valley Meadows. It is situated overlooking the Red Deer River, just 1 mile south of hwy 11 and halfway between Red Deer and Stettler. The village of Alix is 4 miles northeast should you need a drugstore, post office, hair salon, grocery store, gasoline/propane refill, etc. The campground and facilities are topnotch in cleanliness and beauty. Meals served are well prepared, excellent in taste and nutritious. You may choose to camp alone, if you so desire. Family reunions are popular also. I definitely recommend spending time at Deer Valley Meadows.

We visited in our RV last summer, and it is by far the nicest RV site I have been at. The staff were friendly and courteous, and the scenery was amazing.

I enjoy bird watching, and during my time there I spotted several dozen different species, including turkey vultures and a bald eagle.

Everything was clean and neat and tidy, and they did not charge us for firewood, or for use of the washrooms, the washer or dryer!

There is an RV dumping station onsite.

The Price was very reasonable, especially considering the free wood and washrooms.

I highly recommend this as an RV site. If you are looking for RV grounds in Central Alberta, this is the place.

Deer Valley is the retreat centre that we keep coming back to year after year. It is great for kids and adults alike. The newly renovated lodge is so cozy and multifunctional for retreats, family reunions, and camping. The beauty of the whole property is stunning and the people who work there are wonderful. We love this camp!

We hosted an event at this camp over 2 days, with over 175 students from middle schools.

We had rain on the second day, and had to change a few activities, but the staff was prepared, professional, and the student’s experience was still fantastic.

I’ve run leadership camps all over the province, I’ve rented out camps all over Alberta, and Deer Valley Meadows is by far my favourite one.

The staff, the location, the activities, the food, the scenery, everything was fantastic. The English language unfortunately does not have strong enough language to full convey how satisfied I was. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.

I have come here for the past few years with a fiddle camp and they are always great hosts. Facilities are regularly maintained and very comfortable, there is always plenty of food, and the overall atmosphere is family friendly. Campsites have power, water, fire pits, and a good amount of trees to give a little privacy amongst campers. Staff is always friendly and the owner is always around to ensure the most enjoyable and fun stay! I met his family and they were really kind and involved with the keeping of the camp. It’s great to see such an involved family that runs such a nice camp. Overall, it is a great place to come for a nice camping experience, no complaints.

We last stayed at this campground 24 years ago.We enjoyed it then but we were amazed at all the upgrades there have been when we stayed for 3 nights this last week-end.Its the most beautiful camp with stunning walks especially the walk down to the river. We stayed in the gazebo and it was very comfortable and as well as a sitting area we had a full sized kitchen and table to seat 6.The meals in the dining room were very good and we had more than sufficient.
We are in our 70's but couldn't resist the zip line and wow it was a fantastic experience.
We would highly recommend this campground. Its excellent value for money and a great place for children.
A special thanks to all the staff who work so hard and were very pleasant and helpful.May the Lord bless you all.Sincere thanks, Rose & Lawrie Pauley Elim Christian tabernacle, Edmonton

We recently had a joint church family camp here. The facilities are amazing and well kept but there were two other large groups booked at the same time. It was very awkward trying to share amenities and this really detracted from our enjoyment. Too many groups booked at one time.
