I love this Campground. Sites are big rig friendly, full hook up with a few 50amps. The sites are quite level, and very close to the beach. Will visit again

It was ok. The beach is by far my favorite in all of Alberta. The resort isn't that kid friendly. Not much to do. And everytime I am out there they seem to be mowing. Now I can tolerate and understand that they need to mow. But when they keep mowing the same area back and forth by your site. It gets a little annoying. Not to mention, when they are out there, mowing and drive by your site, their grass clippings get thrown on your RV mat. We had to sweep it off 4-5 times cause he kept coming back mowing. We were thinking about doing a seasonal here but got talking to others that have them and they report that there's a lot of people that love to party with loud music very late in the night and management doesn't do a thing.

The beach here is beautiful, nice sand, clear waters, and shallow for a good stretch which is great for bringing kids. The playground is not too big but the beach makes up for that, and there is another playground on the campground but it may only be for campers. There is a nice little store for snacks and ice cream. There is a golf course near by, a bike park. The town is very close for groceries, liquor, and a couple restaurants. But the stores close early and it is more pricey. The campground can also get a lot of lake bugs and mosquitoes at times but it still a great beach and campsite.

This resort & RV park had super friendly staff and fun events on weekends. On August long weekend there was a nice BBQ and live band music. All of this is just the cherry on top of the AMAZING beach this park backs onto. The beach is is super long and has such a shallow gradient with hardly any rocks. It is a great place to bring the youngest of humans up to the most experienced swimmers with the size of this peach there is space for everybody!

Very unprofessional management/karen. Sending email after email complaining about everything they can from kids to driving golf carts. Stayed here one season and it is definitely over priced for what you get, maybe if the gold course and swimming pool where finished these rates would be acceptable. They are also raising rates for the next season. I would never recommend this place to my friends or family. Only nice thing about it is Aspen beach and that's because it's public.

All needed facilities for campers or just a say at the beach are present. Playground right on the beach. Kept clean.
Beach well groomed. Smaller than Aspen Beach so get there early on a weekend. Water perfect for swimming or if you drive on a ways, boating. Public washrooms clean and well maintained.
NOTE: Regardless of route advisor, Sandy Point is easiest found, if coming from south or east, by staying on hwy 2 or 2A to Lacombe then west to Gull lake on hwy 12. It's at the far west end of hwy 12 just west of Brownlow landing.

Just a short drive outside of Bentley and Lacombe Alberta, Sandy Point is a great little beach and play area along with boat launch and RV park. Has restrooms with showers outside and inside. Play center has a jungle gym right beside change room/bathroom in middle of beach area. Beautiful rocks line the parking lot. This beach is located roughly 10 mins away from Bentley. Just off hwy 12
