SALTLIK Banff

Very nice atmosphere and great service. All the staff I encountered were very knowledgeable and super friendly. However, the quality of the food doesn’t match the price tag on it. I never mind paying extra for a great meal but this wasn’t it. The steak definitely wasn’t quality and yet I paid $50 for it. I would say the quality of the food is on par with Earls or Moxies, even Mr. Mikes. It’s definitely a nice date night location because if the setting but if you’re looking for a quality meal for a great price I don’t recommend.

Nice place to have dinner in Banff.
Carpaccio and salad were both very good, do not pass on those.
We got the ribeye, Chicago style to share and it was good as well, but just needed a bit more seasoning. The Brussels sprouts and mash that came with it were great though.
If you're looking for a nice cozy place to go eat, this is the place. The service was very good as well.

The service we were provided by Maegan was phenomenal! She gave us lgreat recommendations from the wine to the main meal (GF for me and non GF for my friends). The Steak was done to perfection, we didn’t need steak sauce (GF). The salmon was flavorful (The dish is not GF, but I only tried the salmon, soo yummy).The dessert was absolutely delicious (my friends said it was, I had a little of the ice cream on top).😋 this place was for sure worth the extra money! -Vega Approved ✔️👍🏼

Apple pie was amazing. Make sure to leave room for this.
Service was good. Servers were all very nice. A bit disorganized for the amount being be paid. Had someone’s meal come to us and they forgot to bring certain items with our entrees. They were not busy either. All were solved quickly so not a major red flag.
All food that we got was 5/5. Minus pasta. Pasta was a bit salty/cheesy. Nothing too bad but again for the price was expecting better. Mashed potatoes with lobster was a hit.

Overall I put them at a 4.5/5. Either need to up the service quality and some of the food to meet the $$ expectations or decrease the overall price to current expectations, to get to a 5.

Hostess were nice and fast with our orders. Their burger was juicy and fully loaded with toppings. Their salad supposed to have Kale but apparently there wasn’t. Brought the issue to the staff but all she said was “so sorry about that”. I wish they can warn the customers about what ingredients are missing for the day. The steak was okay. Their ‘well-done’ version is full on burnt. The place needs to improve and needed more renovations. Lots of tables inside and at the patio. Great place to eat when all the surrounding restaurants are full.

Great steaks. We had the porterhouse and it was delicious. The burger was tasty as well. Service was friendly, overall a great experience.

Danny Ray was our wonderful server at this great restaurant. We tried the lobster potatoes and calamari starts - both were fine but the main dishes were delicious! Main that I enjoyed was prawns spaghetti and my husband had the sirloin. We had to return the next afternoon for To Die for Apple Pie with ice cream and caramel swirl.

The place is warm and welcoming. The service was excellent, our server Michael was very friendly and took care of us bringing drinks and food on time. Our 4 stars and not 5 are because the steak lack a little bit of flavour. The calamary had a great taste and fair price on happy hours. The chips and dips had a good taste but were too oily. I would recommend this place.
