What's not to love about hot, fresh, fried dough at any time of day? We arrived just as they opened on a brisk morning and got to watch the friendly employee prepare our delicious goodies! We go the Killaloe Sunrise and Bananarama and one tail is plenty for one person; the portion sizes are huge! The Bananarama had the perfect amount of hazelnut spread, but the Killaloe Sunrise was the real star of the day. Bright, sweet, chewy on the edges and crisp in the very middle. I highly recommend that flavor.
Our service was quick, personable, and friendly. I'm really glad we stopped by for this iconic Canadian treat!

My first time having a Beavertail and it was without a doubt a WOW moment. The crispy pastry was absolutely delightful as i was expecting more of a donut type base. The toppings were incredible, very sweet, which can be good or bad. That said, it was delicious. Had the Avalanche and tried the Brwownie.

Hold on, wait a minute why haven’t I tried this place in Vancouver, BC???? I guess Banff does wonders eh, It’s the best dessert after a delicious meal, get a coffee and you’re set. We ordered a Bananarama very delicious with just the right amount of bananas as a topping.

Beaver Tails, a better canadian invention than insulin. Or basketball. Or Justin Trudeau. Or five pin bowling or kraft dinners or constitutionalized bilingualism or the wonderbra (Not ordered according to rank of greatness, we can all agree that kraft dinners are superior to Trudeau).

The dough was honestly way better than any fried dough I’ve had on a blurry new years night on the streets of Boston. It’s honestly incredibly chewy yet crispy. The toppings were varied and all had a unique character. My favorite was the maple, it had sweetness as well as a nice crunch. My only complaint would be how messy it was to eat!

It is my understanding that BeaverTails are not actually ubiquitous across Canada. Get on that Trudeau! I feel that corporate protectionism for this industry in particular is appropriate!

Very fast to get the beaver tail
Though it was very oily and 7.5$
Didn’t have that much banana or Nutella on it. Pastry was slim which made it felt light. Not sure if I prefer it this way or if I would have preferred it to be thicker.

Must try in Banff. Lots of flavors to choose from. We tried avalanche and we liked it. One was enough though, cos it was too sweet. I tried pistachio gelato too and i loved it!!! Shouldve tried another flavors too. The boy in the cashier was really friendly!!!

Really friendly staff with outstanding customer service. My family and I really enjoyed our very first ever beaver tail and ice cream too! Definitely make this place a stop while I’m Banff and the prices were competitive!

Honestly, can't go wrong with fried dough and sugar. This place doesn't disappoint in that regards. Service was friendly but a bit on the slower end on my experience. I recommend getting the Killaloe (cinnamon sugar with a lemon wedge) as it's not overly sweet but absolutely delicious if you add in a spritz of lemon juice.
