Dr Sheng is an extremely attentive, competent and warm Obstetrician. I wouldn't hesitate to use her for a subsequent pregnancy or recommend her to friends.

She read my personality like a book and provided the right amount of information at the right time. My communications with Dr Sheng and her lovely Assistant, Jo, throughout my pregnancy was consistently efficient, clear, professional and yet friendly. I was never made to feel a query was silly or inconvenient.

She managed my minor pregnancy related complications with proficiency, sensitivity and the perfect touch of humour.

Dr Sheng is an 'extra mile' person, and sacrificed her precious time off to visit me whilst recovering in hospital.

I can't thank her enough for the peace of mind she brought to me and my husband.

Dr Karen Sheng looked after me and my baby during my second pregnancy and gave me the personal care and reassurance I hoped for and needed.

Given complications during my first birthing experience (5 day labour and significant back pain, with baby malpositioned and placental abruption discovered after emergency c-section) I decided I wanted a private obstetrician (with stay and further care provided by the Royal North Shore Public Hospital) for consistency of care given potential risks in the next delivery.

Karen was brilliant. She was professional and very personable. She took time to understand my history, my preferences and my worries, and talked through each stage, medical procedure and risk factor clearly and in as much detail as I desired explaining the medical language as needed.

Karen was also available to me when ever I had concerns outside of appointments responding to emails or calls quickly. She was there in person when I thought I was in labour (but wasn't) and when finally my waters broke to ensure my elective c-section would go to plan. And Karen visited after the baby was born despite having delivered babies night and day tirelessly during an unexpectally busy time.

Karen's receptionist is also amazing. My husband and I felt so at ease being looked after by these two. Highly recommended.
