Zero complaints and I'm coming back for more.
It's reasonably premium priced but was fulfilling at the end.
Location is the prime advantage it has with sensible number of tables for the Crowd the shop can handle. Just came to try once and wasn't disappointed.
More than happy to come back but won’t go out of my way to visit again.
They heated up the croissants for us, and remembered who had ordered which.
This speaks of a level of commitment and pride that is rare to see, especially at the end of a shift.
Delicious food, and I'm told the cold brew was very good.
The team at Talking Toucan offer the first glimpse of what a visit would bring. Warmly greeted, smiles by everyone who’s working, there is an affability towards everyone that will make you feel like a local in no time.
The menu offers a broad selection of items, while not being too big where they can’t master the quality. The prices are reasonable (value for money is high). The cabinet at the counter also has a variety of sweets and easy to go food items. They also use only the best quality coffee beans to make the perfect blends of coffee. Today I chose the ‘Rainbow French Toast’. My inner child gravitated towards the decadency of French toast with ice cream, caramel and raspberry drizzle with fairy floss and sprinkles. The balance of fruit, sweetness of caramel and the savoury of the French toast means it never pushed towards sickly sweet and the generous but proportionate meal size meant it satisfied greatly without you leaving with regret.
What made my visit today (and every visit) worthwhile is the hidden from street view relaxed outdoor courtyard with which to enjoy your meal or drink. Today the gentle breeze and the warmth of the sun worked in unison with the quietness and serenity of the courtyard itself. The perfect blend of factors that will allow you to unwind and any stress to wash away.
Sit indoors, out the back or lovely Alfresco at the front.
Great coffee & good looking cookies.
In my exploration of Brisbane coffee shops, this is one of my new fav’s,
