Happy Days Food Co. at the entrance to The Gap Sopping Centre on Waterworks Rd is a great example of a small business which has built a thriving concern with great coffee, good food. and friendly service.. Having a coffee and a cinnamon scroll today ( yum) one of the crew brought out a bowl of fresh water for my dog. It's no wonder this cafe has such a great following..

Under new ownership since Feb 2022, Happy Days has transformed into what I'd best describe as a gourmet café-deli.

Serving excellent coffee and house made treats (the carrot cake is divine).

Happy Days has two venues, unit 1 (the original) has now expanded to offer dine-in service (totally recommend the house beans) and Unit 6 along the way is for take-away (although also has a couple of tables).

Great early morning coffee. Fantastic decaf too which is hard to find. Sit down Saturday breakfasts have been delicious the two times I've been. The bread used for the avo toast took it from above average to special. Yum!

Lovely new indoor seating area. Clean, fresh and light and bright inside.
Food is lovely, great menu to select from.

Wow! For a little cafe in a busy suburban shopping precinct, this place offers more than a first glance may suggest. The coffee was very smooth with no bitterness. The breakfast was not your standard fare. Little touches like grated Parmesan cheese on the scrambled eggs on touch were a delight. And the cake!! A must do.

Best coffee at the Gap and amazing food! Highly recommend their Basque cake. It’s to die for.

Loved the idea of separating main coffee eating area with takeaways. Unfortunately since expanding I have seen their customer service deteriorate. The staff no longer greet you when you walk in, and on a number of occasions they haven't even acknowledged someone standing waiting to be served.
It's a real shame because the team used to be so friendly and it felt like a real community shop when they initially opened, hopefully it's just a speed bump and the customer service will return.
