Having said all that, my 1989 GN250 was serviced and fixed from a myriad of problems turning it from unrideable junk (at best a piece of history) to a finely tuned classic again. Graeme even turned up to my house when I thought there was something wrong with the bike. Just goes to show there is still proper service around.
I have recommended everyone I know with motorcycles to go see MTM.
Took my ninja in for a roadworthy and it was decided it needed a cam tensioner and fork seals. After 5 weeks the work couldn't be completed because the mechanic couldn't remove the front wheel (was told his wheel hex tool kept braking) and also created a coolant leak on reassembly that he couldn't find the source of. (Later found he left hoses disconnected)
After questioning the work I was left a voicemail of screaming and abuse, followed by excuses.
Received the bike back after the bill ($771.25) and;
-with all fairings removed(and some parts broken or missing)
-the coolant leak unfixed
-cooling fan not working
-fork seals not installed
-additional bad oil leaks from poor reassembly
I also payed for the new fork seals(turned out were the wrong size) and payed for the roadworthy which couldn't be granted (was a mobile roadworthy service as I didn't know MTM aren't qualified to grant them) and faults weren't fixed in time.
Very disappointed overall and hope my review reaches anyone thinking about letting MTM get their hands on their pride and joy.
