They advertised today as first day of Cordon Bleu menu for lunch and I tried the mushroom risotto. Presentation was average and taste was average with not much ingredients other than a few pieces of muchrooms and 3 pieces of spinach leaves. Portion was very tiny so for $9 (and I am not a huge eater), it's hardly good value for a training restaurant. Service was poor (unattentive waiter) but understanding it was a training restaurant. Overall, quite disappointing. If it wasn't a training restaurant, this would be a 1 star rating. I hope the course/ restaurant manager has current knowledge about the restaurant and hospitality industry (which is very competitive) to prepare the students for the real world and not sheltered by the training environment.

Amazing quality chefs and portion sizes, very generous and welcoming waiters.
Would love to come every day if I could :)
Some very genuine accidents here and there, but it's easy to tell they're trying their absolute hardest

It’s a student ran cafe. So you might think, “why would I want newbies making my food”? Well the answer is, I think students here try extra hard to make the food good, and when you come here you’re giving young people a chance to get a sense of achievement through hard work. And they’re very well trained as well.

See, food isn’t just about taste and presentation. It’s the whole experience, and nothing feels better than being able to tell a young chef that he (or she) made your day with a lovely meal.

It’s also very affordable here, very quiet atmosphere. It’s found a snug little place between “high-end dining” and “casual restaurant experience”.

I’ve had fish and chips here. The fish is very nicely cooked. It’s crunchy but not scratchy, its juicy but not oily. And the chips are crispy to the bite but soft to the chew. Very lovely experience. 10/10

Food quality and customer service are not good on Wednesdays. What happen with chefs on Wednesday? Chips were soggy and sometimes not cooked well.
I only enjoyed my lunch on Friday.

I really enjoyed my meal. I was served by Alex and thoroughly enjoyed Alex's service. The food was also very great.
