Wonderful weekend at this beautifully restored Victorian B&B. Authentic antique furnishings and comfortable beds along with well-appointed bathrooms and lots of heat this cold weekend made our stay a treat. The owners were so friendly and helpful, we feel we made new friends.

River House Lodge is a clean and beautifully furnished B&B on the banks of the Cheat River. The innkeeper and his wife are wonderful hosts, especially since the innkeeper was born and raised in the small Appalachian town and has now returned to help revive it.

So great! As someone hiking the Allegheny trail it is a perfect place to stop for a night and sleep in a real (super comfortable) bed. The hosts are super nice and inviting. Loved loved loved loved it :)

My visit here was a lovely experience. This beautifully restored Victorian Lodge, is located not far from the Alegheny trail and even closer to the Cheat River, and scenic drives through the valleys and up in the mountains! The knowledgeable hosts were warm and welcoming.

Nice clean spacious room and bathroom. Nice quiet street. I wouldn't recommend if you have issues with climbing stairs or other physical health conditions due to the number of stairs to get to the rooms.

Strangely unclear until you come to Google to look for directions to this place that it doesn't look anything like the photos on the travel booking sites. Is this place real? We've been trying to get a refund for a canceled trip there for three weeks.
