Took my 1976 gravely walk behind , he helped unload , turned it over with starter and diagnosed it in less than 5 min, fixed on spot in about 30 min with new set of points, advised me of a few other. Things that I now watch for maintenance issues. Very reasonable for the price. Great shop, they have a different turn as for personalities, but they are really good at what they do.

I own a repowered 8199G and two Gravely wing mowers. Dealing with these folks is just delightful. Their business purchased all the leftover parts of another Gravely dealer in PA so they have lots of interesting capabilities if you are looking for Gravely parts. So not only do they have a lot of parts, they know about almost all of them, and are honest to deal with. They rebuilt the mower spindles on my wing mower, new bearings and internals and did a great job.

Has anyone actually been able to contact Richard's? I have tried for two weeks via phone and email with ZERO reply. They seem to be unable to return a phone call or email - sadly. Before ordering old mower parts for hundreds of dollars it would be nice if they actually replied to communications to verify the parts. They get a thumbs down for Customer Service already since they are unable to call or email a potential customer willing pay them hundreds of dollars for mower parts. I guess they are doing so well that a couple fo hundred bucks is not consequential to them on a single sale. I will go elsewhere but glad if others have had success with them. I cannot recommend them due to lack of communication on many attempts. FYI - this post like all other 5 and 4 star reviews can be made by anyone to make a statement both positive or negative. Meaning, take the review with a grain of salt because there is ZERO proof of validity. They have 24 good reviews - yet I cannot reach them by phone or email. Hmm. Again, decide for yourself and good luck with them - that's all. Just my experience.

WOW - after two weeks with two emails and two phone calls and no reply it took less than 40 minutes to get a response via email after writing this one star review! Got to love marketing I suppose, but if that is what it takes for good customer service from a company, No Thanks. Good luck to all, once again. Hope you have a better experience than I.

Great source of parts for older 2 wheel Gravely's. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. I called on a Monday and had my parts in hand n Thursday and that's shipping from their store in WV to Minn !!! My go to place for anything Gravely.

Trustworthy. Probably says it all about the folks at Richards. I place international orders with them and they NEVER disappoint me. The best.

Hoping I'm wrong, but for the person who "claimed" trying to reach Richard's for 2 weeks with no reply, there must have been tragedy in the family or it was during one of the floods to hit Spencer. Praying it was the latter and not the former. My dad used Richards for his L models and I've relied on them for over 30 years. NEVER a bad experience!
