Very unprofessional and no common courtesy. Called for a room at 3 a.m. been driving all day and night, they have rooms available for the new day for $84, but can't check in til 5, but she has some now and I have to be out by noon she'll rent me for 120 plus taxes it would be a hundred and thirty something, seriously, doesn't make any sense, thanks lady, and she was happy about it after I questioned her. I'm an auditor myself and I know very well she already done the audit and is on the new day on her computers already, nice way to be real a-hole

The hotel was very nice some updates might be needed. But it was clean and well taken care of. The staff really shined. I was in town for a family member who is in the hospital and did pass away while I was staying there. Ken and his staff were excellent knew of the situation you are very sympathetic. They made this day comfortable and easy.

States checkout at 12n and, despite privacy request on door, housekeeping will start knocking on your door at 10a. They will knock or call every 30 minutes.
Otherwise everything else was fine.

Let me start with saying that this is not my first stay there and not my first disappointing experience definitely the worst stay tho….so please don’t bother with the “second chance response”. This was the second chance at this specific hotel and there will def not be a third!

We reserved the “Executive Suite”, or so we were led to believe based on some umm “creative advertising” and possible “alternative facts”! Unfortunately, immediately Upon arrival, we realized that our room looked nothing like the photos led us to believe that it would! However we weren’t trying to complain and we just wanted to get settled, let the grandkids (9,9, & 14) and our son (10) take a quick dip to unwind before bed and allow us adults (myself and husband and my son-in-law) visit for a few before he was going to take my son withhim and his children back to his house and allow my hus band and myself a much needed night alone on what is a difficult day for myself personally. This trip was made to celebrate my granddaughters 14th birthday but she shares a birthday with her mother who unfortunately passed away a few years ago. So, needless to say, it tends to be a bittersweet, emotional day for us all.

The kids did get to swim, they were only down there for literally 22min (9p - 9:22p) then came back up to change to leave. During this time my husband attempted to watch tv and relax as he worked all day and then drove hours to get us here. Well unfortunately the television and all the advertised channels which were supposed to include HBO, was nothing but snow. No digital or analog channels worked! Off to the front desk, a gentlemen came to room, showed husband how to scan for channels 🙄 then left before the scan could complete but not before questioning us about whether the children were staying in our room.

Channel scan was a waste of time and the children left and I informed husband that there was no digital cable in the room and how I knew (digital cable never has snow). Then we realized that our room. a.c. was also not working and it was uncomfortably warm! By now it’s 11pm, we have no tv, no air conditioning and we’re getting “hangry”.

Again we go to front desk!

There was no “I’m really sorry” or “let me try to resolve this” or anything one would expect (AND DESERVE) from a business that charged $176 for a room that was misleading to point of disappointment, has no TV and a busted AC! No offer for one of the other “suites” that the according to website there were 3 more available. Nope! He seemed to have a completely blasé attitude about the entire situation. Even had the audacity to seem annoyed with our annoyance!! Only after he noticed my husbands frustration did he rudely say “You want a refund?”

Yes, now we do! we begin to pack and search for another hotel while waiting for refund only to find out that said “refund” won’t be available for 4 freaking days due to holiday!

Now we’re more perturbed but husband is still just trying to work something out and will accept another room as long as it at least has working AC! In response to husbands frustration, he adds insult to injury and threatens to not even give us a room at ALL! 😱 😤

Husband tries reasoning with him and asks for the room until we make arrangements in the morning. Do you think that he offered to discount the room which really would have been the least he could do, NO! He moved us to a standard room, quoted us full price $100 (as of right now I’m still out the original $586 so idk exactly) then he tried to ask if we could at least pay cash to let the kids come swim in morning but got no response.

So as I write this review, I sit here in my $586 standard room, looking VERY forward to my 3pm check in at the Holiday Inn and my much anticipated soak in the jacuzzi tub that I’ve now paid for TWICE!

First room we were given was not cleaned from last guests stay (beds unmade), the second room smelled moldy, the carpet was damp throughout, and the refrigerator smelled like a rotting carcass. But the bright side?…there was running water!
We only stayed because we were tired and we didn’t think the receptionist cared about getting us a proper room for a third either.
Also, we stayed there last fall also, and had a similar experience.

Nice place. Price wasn't bad. Would recommend. Very honest people here. I forgot something very valuable in the room and they helped me get it back

We had a reservation at the hotel and arrived about 6:00 p.m. We were assigned a room and given a key. When we went into the room, it was immediately obvious that the room had not been cleaned after the previous person had vacated. We went back to the front desk employee who was very apologetic and immediately issued keys to another room. When we unlocked that room, it was obvious that someone was still occupying that unit. when we reported this to the front desk employee, she was shocked. We felt the front desk employee was shocked, again. We felt the front office person was truly caught off by this and very upset by this. It was our opinion that there was a total breakdown from the housekeeping/maintenance staff and the front desk.

Rooms are always clean, the people at the front desk are very kind, always have fresh coffee throughout the day, and their breakfast is pretty good.
