My husband worked in the area for a week so we decided to try this campground out and see how it worked. We have a F450 and towed a 44 ft 5th wheel. It took some time to get to the campground but it wasn't impossible. The last mile was a little rough gravel road but nothing we didnt expect in the middle of nowhere in WV. There was a small fee to stay. Nice private grounds. Not many spots for a 44ft trailer but you get a fire pit and a picnic table. Definitely a good remote spot

My wife and i are avid campers and spent our wedding anniversary camping. We found laurel fork only by accident..we drove up a long gravel road to see if there was a nice remote spot to camp. Laurel Fork Area Campground is a beautiful, remote place to camp. We were alone there until luckily a guy came on a bike late and thru up a tent. I am type 1 diabetic and ran out of insulin. I ran into serious trouble that night and by morning had to have my wife get that guy to go find cell signal and call EMT. It took them 2hrs to get there but by the grace of God i got to a hospital. If you choose to camp here keep in mind it is a REMOTE area near the top of a mountain. Beautiful though, i give it 5 stars in my book! Creek on one side, beautiful trails, nice fire pits and picnic tables. Highly recommended.

This is a very secluded place for camping. It is extremely cheap (about $4 a day) and very remote. That can be inconvenient, but is fine with proper planning. Because it is so remote, all of the sites are usually empty. I recommend grabbing one by the creek/river. This is a spartan campground, but it has an outhouse and bear-proof trash/recycling containers.

It is a very beautiful place. Hard to find which makes it a little more secluded than most public campgrounds. It also offers self pay and is priced very reasonably. Has river access, hiking trails, steel fire pits, picnic tables and has 2 different campgrounds

Great spot. It's primative, with no shower or running water but there are springs nearby and the Laurel Fork runs through the campground. No cell service there. It's beautiful. The sites are nice and it's not crowded.
